Looking down at the radio or texts is just like letting someone in the back seat put their hands over your eyes while the car is moving. If you wouldn't allow someone else to temporarily blind you, then you shouldn't do it to yourself!

When that didn't happen, it was off my viewing list....
Roseanne is a comedian. Not every joke is a winner, but they are just jokes. What Roseanne said about that Valerie woman was an attempt at a joke. Dave Chappell and Chris Rock say racist things all of the time and they get a full pass. Also, Roseanne got an unfair shake when she sang. “The Star Spangled Banner”. She was doing a bit by spitting and grabbing her crotch like baseball players do, and she sang badly on purpose because she is not a singer she is a comedian. Remember how outraged everyone was? I never understood why no one cared about Roseanne’s feelings. I mean really….the piling up on Roseanne hurt my heart. It wasn’t that big of a deal that she had to be a target for everyone’s outrage. SHE WAS DOING A BIT based on her character on “Roseanne”. I remember Roseanne’s face when someone told her that President George Bush 41 said the performance was shameful and the look on Roseanne’s face was heartbreaking. She didn’t mean to hurt anyone, but boy did everyone jump on her.
The original Roseanne show showed the real life of a lower class blue collar 80’s family .She was a pioneer on addressing so many senior of the real issues in almost of her fan based households .She covered unemployment,teenage issues ,domestic violence,utilities being disconnected ,sibling rivalry,in-laws issues ,mental health along with addiction issues such as alcoholics,gays and lesbians,transvestism…I could go on all day .She’s had personal issues …who hasn’t? She just didn’t lie to press and try to make up cover stories.I love Roseanne.She’s made me laugh ,cry ,sympathize,admire ,loath,and showed me how to take on serious issues! I feel she got the shitty end ! It’s her show and her character .Long Live Roseanne
Rosanne was the heart of the show. She spoke her mind and she paid for it. It is horrific that her own cast members treated her so badly. Rosanne was one of the best shows on television, and she was the reason. I respect her so much.
You know the whole situation reminds me of Valerie Harper and her series, Valerie. Some can argue that she lost that role because she was making too much money. They can say whatever they want, but when it came down to it, they felt that the show could do OK without her and they would save all that money. This whole thing with Rosanne is exactly the same thing. They bought her entire work from her for not a huge sum of money, and the only reason she did that was because of all the people who were making a living off that show. When you think of it, it really does begin to bother you that these people fell right into this trap. Go right ahead, thinking that it was that tweet, and not the money that she was making, because I would argue that if that weren’t true, they would’ve given her a fair price for her continuous work on that series, including the reboot. They gave her almost nothing. I also think it’s kind of weird that in her defense she said I didn’t know The Bitch was black. I guess it’s OK to say rude things about white people. Don’t Read too much into it, I just thought it was interesting.
Such a wonderful interview with Roseanne! Feeling betrayed is one of the hardest emotions to process. I’m glad she has made it through. Now she’s like a polished diamond.
Never missed an episode of Rosanne..it was like being at home..no fancy houses or clothes just a regular hard working family struggling to make ends meet..I was SO happy when the show came back on years later.. haven't watched it once since Rosy isn't on it..We Luv You Rosanne !!
I have never been more disappointed and disgusted with an actor than I was with Sara Gilbert. She threw Roseanne under the bus for her own preening self-interest. Greed, jealousy and desire for control seemed to run roughshod over any semblance of human kindness…not to mention loyalty. I stopped watching Roseanne, as well as The Talk because she makes me sick.

Roseanne chose to think more of her baby to give her a chance at a better life than she could give as a teenager. I am an adoptee adult myself. It is one of the most truly unselfish gifts that a woman can give. I give thanks to the teenager who gave birth to me and made the same decision. My life would have been drastically different than the life I’ve had. I ask God to bless her on my birthday each year.
I wish Roseanne all the best. We go through life believing our friends will have our backs in times of need. It's only in times of need that we really find out who are friends really are. It hurts really bad when you come to realise, this is not the case. Hold your head up high, and walk tall as you are so much better off without fakes in your life.

Hollywood is so corrupt. Sad about what happened to her show but glad she’s out of that toxic environment. Kudos to her. All of the cast members really stabbed her in the back and the new show is a complete joke. I don’t know how each and every one of them can sleep at night without feeling guilt or shame of banking on her fortune after she was the one who gave them theirs in the first place. Brainless, soulless Hollywood robots. Pathetic.

My favorite thing about Rosanne is how she took being booed for mock singing the national anthem. She realized it was the wrong thing and went for voice lessons to do it justice and sing well. I watched a special on it and it was actually moving.
Over the years my love for Roseanne has grown, as she has also grown as a person. We are all imperfect humans who make mistakes. Roseanne is more real than most Hollywood types who have lost touch with reality. She is very grounded. Great interview! ❤🙏🏼🫶🏼
I'm so glad you did this interview. Roseanne did not deserve what they did to her. Their behavior was a hundred times worse than anything that they blamed her of doing. I hope she knows that many of us love and support her.
Roseanne is the salt of the earth. Thrilled she had the opportunity to make us laugh over the years and also thrilled that she is out of the lions den, making her way through life without restraints. So good to see her happy and fulfilled.

When I was growing up we always watched Roseanne. My mom is very funny and sarcastic so she related to Roseanne's personality a lot. I loved hearing about her amazing life in this interview. Her cancellation was absolutely horrendous and shouldn't have happened. Much love and happiness to you, Roseanne.
Wise words from Roseanne 🙌 don't ever hold your tongue with your family, especially when you see them taking the wrong road. You can condemn an action without condemning the person. Roseanne, family matters, Cosby and married with children were constantly on our tv growing up. It was incredible. They just do not make television like that anymore.
Thank you for this interview. I always liked Roseanne, it's a shame how Sara Gilbert has treated her. She wouldn't have been anything without Roseanne. I've been rewatching " Little house on the Prairie". These new shows today are all crap. They have shoved all this woke ideology into the new shows. I was reading up on " Little house on the Prairie" and it's main star Melissa Gilbert( Sara's sister) and you know Sara had a different father, she took her Mother's previous husband's last name of Gilbert to help her chances in Hollywood. What a slap in the face to her real father. It looks like she's always been crummy and only thought of herself.
I watched Roseanne for the entire time. My kids and my favorite show. We laughed so hard every time. I was a single Mom with 4 children (my oldest was also given up for adoption). But I raised the 3 by myself. Her show kept me and my kids close.
I have to say Megyn, I came upon this interview with Roseanne because I love and respect her so much. But what I gained, was a new respect for you. A few years back I wasn't sure I liked you because of some stuff I heard you say. But seeing this, I appreciate how you handle a interview with compassion and grace. So now you have a new fan. I so enjoyed hearing from Rosanne on your show. She's delightful. I used to love to watch her on tv and in movies. She's so funny, interesting and entertaining. She really does look good, and glad that she doing so well. Megyn, you really are quite a good interviewer. I love Roseanne. It was sad when she got kicked off her own show. Her so-called "friends" stabbed her in the back. I can remember watching Roseanne's first stand-up comedy special on HBO back in the 80s.
This was super touching... I knew she was cool because Norm Macdonald spoke well of her. But I'd never seen her show, so I had no idea she'd been through all of that on her show. Reminded me of Gary Coleman who Hollywood was pretty rough on as well. I'm glad she is through to the other side. I will be looking for her podcast when it comes out.

I was stunned when Sara Gilbert did not defend Roseanne. Now listening to this I know why. She wanted all the fame. She has lived off her "sister's fame" for years. If I recall her last name is not even her own. Roseanne Barr I am a huge fan of you and I am so proud of you for being you.
