I did find it funny. Eddy Balanced it by also making Michael Jackson being female. I agree Roseanne's joke was out of line. I gather there are people who think it was funny. My only problem is why rip her whole career away. A public apology and some kind of valunteer work. No doubt it does have to be addressed.
They took a chance when they hired her. This isn't the first time she's went too far. She dressed up like a Nazi and baked "Jewish cookies." I have a dark sense of humor, but that's not funny. Besides, her show was on ABC. Kids watch it. They had no choice but to get rid of her. The people who should be complaining are her former co-stars. Her show was funny back in the day and the new show could have easily been successful. Millions of people liked the original version and would have watched the new version. The ratings were already high, but you can't have the star of the show making those types of comments. All of her co-stars should sue her for the amount of money they lost because of her stupidity. I don't know what's happening with all these washed up actors/actresses. They sit at home watching Fox News all day and turn into vile, racist pieces of $hit.

I'm a Black Woman, Rosanne got fired from her Own show about her opinions( supposedly racist). But "Rappers" have still been calling us Bitches, Hoes and making even More money for doing this.. I agree, I don't know why it is so important to some people that we all think and feel the same. If no one is injured or killed then it shouldn't be a big deal. I work with people who are racists but as long as they don't cause me harm then I continue to go to work. What Rosanne said was not threatening to anyone so it shouldn't have mattered to anyone, in my opinion.

The joke wasn't even about the color of her skin, it was what her facial features looked like and to most of us she is a white woman. How can it even be racial when her skin is pale anyhow? An employer should never be allowed to fire someone for expressing their opinion no matter how sick they might think it is and as long as the person working for them isn't harassing customers or driving business away from them they shouldn't be able to do a damn thing about it. We have established as a society that one is entitled to their own opinion not being allowed to express that opinion without fear of prejudice or reprimand in the workforce is utterly unacceptable imo. What happens between private citizens though due to free speech is another story.

Actions have consequences. ‘what about freedom of speech’ is a fallacy- you have freedom to say whatever the hell you want, but when people react one way or another, don’t complain. Be responsible. You have freedom of movement, but that doesn’t give you the right, to say, walk into a store and rob it (an example!). I mean it does, you walked into the store out of your own volition, but your actions have consequences. Same with speech.
This is a wasted opportunity . instead of burning down the stage ABC could have used the show to bring light to racism. The writers of the show could have written into the show a black family and had everyone commenting about a tweet a celebrity tweeted. The writers could have shown the viewers the pain the tweet caused the black family and how Rosanna's family on the show interacts with the family effected by the tweet. The arc of the story could be 5 to 6 shows. But noooooooooo the only thing to do is fire everyone!
