Roses [8-Bit; VRC6+FDS] - Friday Night Funkin' 

I love it when remixes and covers give BF's parts more flair. BF is generally portrayed as pretty overconfident and somewhat arrogant (Ex: challenging Whitty for fun and not caring when whitty freaks out), so it's super in-character for him to flex on his opponents like that.

I wonder if the advanced difficulty in the final game will have more of that. Not sure if the ordinary songs will do that if they're gonna try to balance for multiplayer.

Usually it doesn’t make sense when BF wins the rap battle by just copying the notes, so I love when remixes give a reason

@@PlumbumJelly My personal favorite moments in songs are when BF does something different and pops off with the vocals. Like that one part in Blammed. And although he was only copying what Daddy Dearest did to him, when he vocalizes to steal his turn in Dad Battle

Or they miss one that one note from Senpai's starting vocals, that annoys me more honestly lol

@@jazzerjaw Right around 0:10 (more precisely at 0:12) you can hear Senpai's part repeat the pattern that goes up to E-flat a second time, instead of going down to the B-flat below the tonic as it does after that. Boyfriend's part repeats this at 0:16, and then it happens again in the recapitulation at 1:16 and 1:20. Bran's melody is: Bb C Eb F Eb D C D Eb D C *D Eb* D C Bb C whereas the original is: Bb C Eb F Eb D C D Eb D C *Bb C* D C Bb C So yeah, completely inconsequential and I don't know why I wasted this long describing it. But that's what I do. (Edit because I didn't notice that I mentioned solfege and then didn't use it until a week later lol)

Hey Chris! Been a while since I saw ya in the comment section! Nice to see ya.

It's not quite as accurate as his Guns cover (I'm not talking about the intentional changes, there was one melody line which I think he just misheard slightly), but overall Bran definitely makes the best 8-bit covers on RU-vid. They're always so faithful to the originals and he manages to preserve the feel as well as he possibly can, while occasionally combining multiple versions or motifs or altering melodic or harmonic content slightly in ways that work. It often feels like the song has gained something, rather than just losing complexity of tone as most 8-bit covers do. It's fantastic.
