Rosewood Hotel Phnom Penh, located in Cambodia's highest building, the top 14 floors of the 188m Vattanac Capital Building. Great views from my Mekong Suite of the city and the Mekong River. A tour during my stay - sunrise over the Mekong River, a swim in the Pool, the rooftop bar at night and breakfast. Very good hotel and great views...

What a great hotel and the changes in PP as truly astonishing since I was last there in 2015... Great memories of having a Hemingway Daiquiri at The Raffles La Royal :)

yep, similar memories - i was last in PP around 2005 - totally different place. Also went into The Raffles for a drink or two. Planning Rosewood Luang Prabang later this year...

I noticed they have sculptures of Hanuman, the Hindu god, all over Cambodia. For reference, that is the rather large sculpture at the entrance of the hotel of the half man-half ape individual. The Hindu/Indian influence truly penetrated the heart of SE Asian culture and all of French IndoChina. One could say India colonized the SE Asian countries with her culture, religion and customs well before Europeans arrived in the region.
