Graeme O'Neil takes a look back at some of Bob Barker's best moments on "The Price Is Right", and how Drew Carey, Adam Sandler, and Rosie O'Donnell paid tribute to him today, the day he passed.
I shed another tear as he entertained all by connecting with the ones in front of him, then the one Contestant playing each Game. He also was a life-changing advocate foe our pets. He lived to 99, a long blessed Life. Thank you Graeme for this Tribute x!
Bob Barker was the ultimate Game Show Host. No one will ever match the way he excited the audience & had the whimsical humor he made a game show become. He was the world's greatest & no one will ever come close to that legacy. May Bob Barker be celebrated forever!!
I think that young contestant hit it right on the head Bob Barker is the king of game shows. He taught us all how to think and do what we are supposed to do. He's an icon anda legend! But one thing is definitely for sure, he got close to a hundred without going over! That is why Bob Barker is he king of game shows. That is why he is so good at what he did.
Bob Barker didn't come on down now. He went on up. I'm sure a man with that much care and concern and love for animals was greeted with a "Welcome Home Robert Barker".
It’s one thing to absolutely respect this man, but like people like Fred Rogers and Bob Ross, he’s done so much good outside of his career for people, animals and the community.
Bob, thank you for all the enjoyment you have given me. I will always remember to help control the pet population and have my pets spayed or neutered! R.I.P. Bob Barker
When I read the news of his death this Saturday, I had to put my hand in my mouth to keep from screaming. We only have a handful of classic emcees left with Peter Marshall at 97,Wink Martindale at 89,Bob Eubanks at 85(the youngest host at 28 when The Newlywed Game premiered in 1966),Chuck Woolery at 80,Pat Sajak at 77,and Steve Harvey at 63(?)
"Any person, on television, you' re above them, all", contestant said, at :56. I hope he made it, at least, out of contestant's row(now, for some reason, re-named, "bidder's row.")
Yes Bob Barker definitely had a great sense of humor. Very funny guy when he wanted to be. They should have given him a shot on Whose Line Is It Anyway? But would that have been after Drew Carey left?
Bob Barker in the 1960s (in this video's first scene) looked a like alot of Twilight Zone characters. I guess that in the early 1960s he was the same age as many typical actors in their 30s
I remember reading one time that Rosie O'Donnell was going to take over the show as host when Bob Barker retired in 2007. Somehow, Drew Carey got it, but I don't think Rosie ever hosted a game show, did she?
I've watched a couple episodes every now and then when I was visiting my grandma at her nursing home but that's it. Drew is a nice guy but he's just not nearly as interesting as Bob was. For me he doesn't have the right spark for the job. I hope if there's a next host after Drew retires that the new host has that spark. Personally I'd love someone who came from radio that has a great voice.
I don't think I ever watched a single episode of "The Price Is Right." Then again I'm not a fan of games shows where the contestants don't have much going for them but $ signs and greed.
JESUS is my greatest love and my life and that is the truth. Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
A Sex offender et al he assaulted numerous women and treated them with contempt!!! ANYONE now a days would be tossed to the curb in the Industry Period!!! What a bunch of losers backing this guy!!
