This is Rosie, our double yellow head Amazon Parrot entertaining herself. The video is so dark, what a disappointment, I'll add some light next time. At least you can hear her I guess. Obviously her favorite song is "Somewhere over the Rainbow" but she often forgets to add "bow" after "rain" so you can hear me in the background saying "bow" after she says "rain", sometimes she gets it right. She also sings "La Cucaracha" and she starts another song "You are...." but we have no idea what it is -- maybe someone out there can "name that tune"?? We didn't realize that she whispered to herself until we videoed her -- that's not me. She hollers for someone and we can't figure out who she is calling for, probably someone that she knew in her previous home. Sometimes she's hard to understand but some of the things she says are:
I love you
Come here
Want some coffee?
Want a cookie?
Morning
Here Kitty, Kitty -- meow
Here Puppy, Puppy - meow

I like this video because it is long. Most of the ones on here are too short. I like being able to play it and let it go for Josie.

She is singing the chorus to "Rosie You Are Posey" an old song but was very popular in the 1920's. Search keywords "rosie you are my posie" on youtube- it's at the top of the list (submitted by Richard Gonzales) to hear it as it is supposed to be sung. You can lookup the lyrics.

Have a cookie? Hello Rose. Hi Rosie, I love you. But of course! Aww, are you a cookie? Singing, "Rosie, you are a Posie, you are my heart, Porkaaay." You want a cookie? Come here. You want coffee? What is it? Hi Rose, hello! Have coffee? Rose, come here, come on... Up Rosie? (She also sings, "Come out, in the moonlight, Lovely Rosie" but you may have to help her finish the verses.) That irritating waaa, raaa, is actually, "mom" hope this helps! Glad she found a good home with you :)
