From my point of view, (playing including the world view of LUNA•SEA) is extremely difficult. In my opinion, by far the best cover of this song is by the band Sokoninaru "LUNA SEA『ROSIER』弾いてみた【极る鳴る軽音部】LUNA SEA - ROSIER (cover)". Generally Sokoninaru has the best covers of Japanese songs, while Nemofila has the best covers of Western songs. Since Shoto Saito (Vocalist & Drummer) joined the band in 2021, they have been covered with Growl Metal vocals which they lacked before.
Man I like Sokoninaru but IMO Nemophila, Show-ya, and Mardelas all do FAR better covers of Rosier than Soko does. Theirs is easily my least favorite cover of that song I have heard.
I had a wondered if a reaction to the LUNA SEA video would produce a copyright strike. So far, so good. Regarding NEMPHILA’s cover, of course it’s superior. No, MAYU and HARAGUCHI-SAN’s vocals are not too loud in tbe mix. And the lead guitars are noodling in the background throughout the entire song. Have another listen. I’m always impressed by the small tributes NEMOPHILA includes in the videos for their cover songs. Here, they include HARAGUCHI-SAN’s impressive English vocals, and the mic stand thing.
