Ross Geller being FUNNY & CHAOTIC 

Well put but in 2nd half of the show Ross was the best character.

Was just saying its a travesty he never won an Emmy for this role. One of the best pure comedic performances I've seen on TV. Most of the memorable moments from the show came from him.

Agree. I think he replaced Chandler as the funny one as Chandler had character development with the help of Monica. From season 3, Ross started to change and properly from after his second divorce.

@@itsyogirldawn1232 nope her lines were just stupid and annoying...David's expressions and his delivery of the lines made Ross funnier. The funniest is chandler only because of his sarcastic lines and Ross obviously and then maybe Joey or pheobe and Monica and Rachel were the least funniest.

Yes!!! Ross is fine as a character IMO. People like to compare him to Ted Mosby but the difference is, by the 5th season, the show recognized where the strengths of Ross are and played into that. They didn't double down on every thing people hated about him like HIMYM did with Ted.

How does that even work? Like what was in the version of the script she got? She just walks out and that’s the end of the scene? She was staring right at the dummy too so clearly she knew it wasn’t David and didn’t scream because she thought it was him, she just got startled by this massive dummy flying at her. Then there’s a cut to what is noticeably a different take where she spins in the circle then goes to check on him. I’m perfectly fine believing she didn’t know the dummy was coming and that startled her but the rest is just acting.

Well ig we should not hate any character. But yeah, people do dislike ross, nd it's their personal opinion. Plus ross was a chaotic character, the actor was brilliant, which was David not Ross. If you would have squeezed out all the jokes nd stuff, I don't think you would be as crazy about ross as you are....

@@technaisci9489 exactly. So ridiculous. Same with Ross and Rachel's dynamic in general. Dramatic stuff happens in life sometimes. This show is literally a comedic DRAMA. Like yeah they did some toxic shit but their relationship doesn't need to be hated everywhere. I avoid most "friends" comment sections because even without there being a single scene of Ross and Rachel's relationship its ALWAYS "ugh I hate Rachel and Ross they're so gross etc etc etc" and I'm so tired of it. They had issues, but real life isn't filled with perfect adults. Adults are still human. We make mistakes, we have toxic traits sometimes. There's LOTS of good moments between them, too. And so what if you dont like them?? Can you like not mention it in every comment section ever? It's not a competition. The time was different back then, a lot of that stuff was seen as more funny and less toxic. Also, people need to realize that they were representing real people with real issues. It's just frustrating lmao but they're made out to be a lot worse than they are. Ross and Rachel are just as great as everyone else!!!

Actually, they wrote the *Ross Geller* character with David Schwimmer in mind. It was tailored to him. I can't speak for Lisa and Matt but David was literally the only one who had a character made _for_ him. Doesn't make him less of a good actor, though 👍
