@@a.fields9789 I hate it sometimes because I used to watch WCW and there were people that would get a great reaction from fans and then ….. nothing with NWO nothing sandwiches. Prime example: Vampiro
🙏🏾 RIP OG Tribal Chief, Sika Anoa’i (one half of The Wild Samoans & Roman Reigns’ father) & also would’ve been Tamir Rice’s 22nd birthday 🎂 #SAYHISNAME 🕊️
Too true I have to agree on that, however as many who aren’t a fan of Russo that is something that I’ve always respected about him The fact that Hogan even sued wcw to get whatever he could after that night says it all too
people still want to see what Booker real feeling on that match because people seem like Booker still not genuinely express his feeling on that feud due to him doesn't want to burn the bridge with WWE.
@@kratosgow342 oh for sure and I know triple h and book are cool and booker has been treated excellent in wwe overall. I just simply remembered and saying how similar it was. Although booker might have knows the outcome beforehand not like the hogan match
Russo said in those meetings him and the majority of the team were fully on board with Booker winning the title. He stated that he and a few were the main ones campaigning for booker to win the title
Booker T journey in WCW was similar to Bret Hart. Both put in their 10,000 hours. Both came from a high critically acclaimed tag team (Harlem Heat/Hart Foundation) and would go on to be breakout superstars as they should, only to be held back by the same guy. Booker was one of the last few good things on WCW. It was time for the baton to be passed and Hogan couldn't stand that smh.
My condolences goes out to both pat McAfee and Roman reigns one pat lost his father in law today and Roman lost his father I hope both of them are ok 🙏 I pray everything is okay
Hogan had no business being WCW Champion after losing to Goldberg. It was at that point he needed to be helping guys get to the top as a main heel while Wrestling was at its peak. But instead, he politicked so much he was champion pretty much on and off again in 1999 when the company started going down, then in 2000 he still couldn't let go of the title on and off again when it was past time for other guys to desperately be holding it. Hogan was a massive positive to WCW and Wrestling as a whole in the late-nighties, but even he's got to admit that during that point Goldberg and Sting were just as if not more over than him, and Booker T could've been too had he got more of a storyline to shine with.
Hogan did this with Sting. It's well documented. Sting was supposed too win clean at Starrcade and Hogan used his creative control the day of and Bischoff, instead of being a boss went with it and that's why the ending was a mess
It absolutely blows my mind that Booker thought it was a good idea to win the title unadvertised. Why anyone thought it was a good idea to put the world title on Booker on a spur of the moment unadvertised at a PPV is mind boggling. To rob all of Booker's fans who didn't order the PPV because he wasn't advertised to wrestle for the title was just dumb as hell. And the fact that Booker isn't more pissed off about that is just weird. Booker vs Hogan at Halloween Havoc would've made Booker more $ & a bigger star than he could've ever been with Jeff Jarrett. Typical WCW piss poor booking at that time
It’s simple really. Eric wanted to do everything in his power to beat Vince and WWF. How do you do that? You sign the biggest star in wrestling history (at the time) and give him full control of everything. Thank god Hulk and Eric never took control of a company again tho am I right? 😅…
Funny how Hogan N Bischoff worked together and killed off TNA wrestling in the early 2010s and essentially got their main star AJ Styles to leave the company

Honky tonk man used to make $1200 night losing to hogan. In the 90's. can you imagine making $220,000 a year in like '91? I'd love to work with 90's hogan
@@alexs7670according to Wrestling Inc, he earned $10,000 every time Hogan dropped that leg drop on him. Said he once earned about fifty thou in 5 back to back house shows back in those days.
@@alexs7670 Honky was also one of Hogan's friends, he had his little group who all got to eat well and ride his coattails, so long as they stayed in their place underneath him.
@@alexs7670 Same....Hogan probably an a** but do you want to make $2K tonight headlining the Main Event or $300 opening match with the Brooklyn Brawler who's probably a great guy?.....Send me the a**hole all day my feelings might be hurt a little for some reason, but just made a house payment for the month with this one match.
I usually watch Booker and Brad and that day Book was tight. I can’t fault him tho…but everyone knows that Hogan, Razor and Nash use to run things in their favor.. but it’s funny how Bisoff cherry picks what he wants to remember.
If we're being honest Booker T didn't have "stupid angles" until he got to WWE. His character seemed way more serious and focused in WCW. WWF kinda made a mockery of the guy/comic relief.
He was a much more versatile character in WWE than in WCW. Yeah, some of those were as comedy acts but he made it so iconic that you just can't shelf him down the card. That stuff with Goldust was pure comic relief but it was so damn funny and iconic as well. Yeah, he may have had more comedy based arc in WWE but it allowed him to have more range as a wrestling character. Than King Bookah gimmick was hilarious as well but he made it work to the point that you still hated him even if he was funny.
Hopefully one day we can get his real take on the Wrestlemania incident because it was clear that they sabotage big bros moment. Much respect to Booker T, the King.
Hogan not letting sting beat him clean at Starcade and Hogan orchestrating the finger poke of doom was 2 of the worst moments in WCW history and major turning points in how fans felt about WCW in a negative way and were major negative turning points in the downfall of WCW
He doesn't like DSOTR because of what rhey represent. 😂. They're just telling stories including one that provided Booker new info that has completely changed his mind.
Bischoff just said that there was a meeting between Hogan, Bischoff and Russo and Brad Siegel, a Turner executive. Hogan and Bischoff came up with a creative decision and Russo came up with his own. Brad Siegel was there to act as judge and he chose Hogan and Bischoff's decision. So Bischoff said after that he left WCW for a week and when he returned Russo decided to do something else without their knowledge. Which probably lead to Hogan "laying down" for Booker T. Anyway weird stuff.
Russo always blames Hogan. The issue of Russo saying that Hogan did not want to lose to Jeff Jarrett, as if Jeff Jarrett was bringing money and rings to WCW, as if Jeff Jarrett was the answer to Austin and Rock at the time! I don't blame Hogan if he wants to win. Jeff was at the Main Event the entire time of Russo and all of his ideas did not work, so why does he put the blame on Hogan? I wonder why Booker T puts the blame on Hogan and they talk as if everything was fine until Hogan decided to win against Jeff. Hogan was losing to everyone like Kidman, Vampiro, The Wall, and others. He agreed with all the losing decisions. And yet they say that he only thinks about himself??? He lost to everyone and Russo's plans did not succeed, so why are they surprised that he wants to win over Jeff ? The decision for Hogan to win over Jeff Jarrett was before the decision for Booker to win over Jeff. But Booker T speaks as if the decision from the beginning was for him to wrestle Jeff, as if the original main event for Bash at the Beach was a Jeff vs. Booker T match, as if Hogan tried to get Booker out of the match, and this of course is all untrue. The original decision a month or so ago was for Hogan to win over Jeff. When Hogan challenged Kidman at the Great American Bash, he told him that if I beat you, Kidman, I would wrestle the champion at Bash at the Beach. This was all the original decision from the beginning. Therefore, Booker T has no right to speak as if Hulk tried to steal his moment by winning the title, the decision of which came late behind Hogan’s back.
I've heard Eric Bischoff talk in long form about that night. I believe his explanation is about 65 percent truthful. I also believe that the 35 percent that isn't truthful definitely involves Booker T because his explanation conveniently leaves Booker out. I would wager that he originally wanted Booker to win the title until Hogan got him swayed. Hogan is his friend, so Eric paints him in a good light and claims the belt was always supposed to go to Hogan. There's just no way that, with Booker knowing days beforehand, that can be the case.
This is always my problem with Booker. He has all this smoke for Hogan almost screwing him out of his moment but not only does he has none for Triple H for ACTUALLY messing his title win up but he makes excuses for him. I can’t take him seriously when he talk about this cause that same energy isn’t kept.
This is why he's and Sting are my top 2. Straight shooter!! and no one will ever tell Booker to say that to my face. Booker is that guy that you don't cross. He allows you to blur the lines between wrestling and reality but don't try to disrespect him.
Hulk Hogan had creative control in his contract so it was in his rights to do it. I wonder how most would act if they had the equivalent of creative control in their lives
Booker t puts the blame on Eric and Hulk Hogan, but you will never hear him criticize Triple H or Vince McMahon and this only shows whether he is actually a logical and honest person or not But the Eric, Hulk and even Vince Russo haters won't admit it. When Mr. Booker says that Hulk Hogan only thinks about himself, but he and his brother admitted that Hogan was the one who asked WCW management to push the Harlem Heat team. I don't understand how he can only think about himself and at the same time help your team, Booker T?? Eric Bischoff was suffering from people above him who were interfering in his decisions, so Eric is not the final boss as is the case with Vince McMahon, but Booker T and Eric's haters do not understand that and only like to lie to themselves. WCW would have closed its doors from day one before Eric, Hulk, or Russo arrived. They had nothing to do with the death of the company. This company was opened only to be closed . booker T is a WWE A kisser an You admit that your salary was 15 thousand dollars a year, and when Hogan came and WCW rose because of him, your salary became 100 thousand dollars, and yet you criticize him? Say thank you to Hogan instead of spreading lies about him. He helped your team, you and your brother, and because of him your salary increased. Say thank you, Booker, and don't talk about behind the scenes and WCW business and things you don't know Because you weren't in the room with Eric, Hulk, and others. Even though Triple H buried you at WrestleMania 19, you still defended him and that match. I know very well that you are not satisfied with that match, but you lie when you defend Triple H, just as you lie when you accuse Hulk Hogan and Eric. . You'Hunter and Vince's ass kisser
