@cousinfrosty1157 15 years later and I'm still jumping around like an idiot at the last 5 laps... Even if lorenzo had won instead of rossi, the racecraft was incredible. Such close passes, some ridiculous moved and still kept it so clean... and somehow still pulling away almost a second a lap from stoner and dovi! Miss these days of motogp. It's lost its way a little now.
Rins Marquez 2019 Silverstone is also an incredible last corner ot, and don't forget Dovi Marquez Austria 2017. In fact, check out the Dovi Marquez videos.
I can't help but think about 'The Corkscrew' as being the ultimate smash n grab overtake... edit: I refer to the 2008 Rossi vs Stoner (when Rossi got off his bike on the warm-down and kissed the corkscrew!)
@@wetleyrocks3092for me Overtake Laguna Seca's The Corkscrew is about brave, youth and wild. and Catalunya is all about Strategy, Well planning and accuracy
Everyone talks about Rossi being dirty, but he knew his limits and when he made faults. And was happy to race tight - 1:55 being classic where Lorenzo pushes him out onto the paint into turn 1, then slams it back across Rossi’s nose. It reminds me of the time Marquez got too close to Rossi into a flip-flop turn and hit Rossi’s back wheel and Marquez went flying off. Totally dangerous by Marquez riding that close and not anticipating it. This clip at 2:01 Lorenzo knows Rossi is tightly there, but slams it over to say “yield to me, I’ve got the line”. I think Rossi did exactly this to Marquez, knowingly making his flip flop rear tyre big & zig zag. It was a terrible shame when Marquez got involved in the Lorenzo vs Rossi title battle. People won’t remember 2nd.
For those wondering this is called the best overtake in modern moto racing. The one person that knew what was coming was Stoner. He said Rossi tried the moved before and almost beat Casey a previous year.
I think you missed the point of this video. It's NOT what was shown on TV in the live broadcast, these are alternate angles that weren't seen on TV. I like the switch to Rossi's onboard 'cause you clearly see how close he was to losing the front at the corner's apex.
@@hAnD90this is actually what shown on the TV live at that moment. All the better angle are what shown after the race finished. I think the camera guy want to show Rossi POV when he try to overtake lorenzo but by the time he switch the camera to Rossi the overtake already happen and Rossi already ahead
No, no tienes razón.
When he was at his highest, he was selling the news that he had won the race from an opponent who won on a motorbike, then suddenly an opponent came against him on the same motorbike, then the momentum he had built for that time was destroyed.... Since then he started strange, started to go crazy and started looking for enemies by selling a lot of strange thoughts to provoke, especially for M4rquez who he saw potential at that time..
Rossi is the father of them all. I mean yes Peko Banniyayya, Hohhe Lorenzo, Marq Marquez, Dani Daniels are there but Rossi can own them all and still have change to spare.
@@Mr_Roz1806 thanks for the insight but Rossi is still the father of them all and can keep Peko Banniyayya, Hohhe Lorenzo, Marq Marquez and Dani Daniels in the pocket while he eats ice cream yeah? Same goes for Alexis Bargorow
