Interested to see more info on your lapping table. I've got a bunch of housings that's should be restorable but want to get the right process before I try.
From the research I’ve done nitriding isn’t the only hardening process Mazda did on side plates. Like Kyle said in an older video it was mostly for keeping the plates from rusting.
