ROTIMATIC BLACK RESIDUE IN WATER PIPE --IT'S *NOT* SIMPLY MOLD BUT PLASTIC BREAKDOWN!!

THIS VIDEO IS NOT TO GENERALLY DISS THE ROTIMATIC -- I AM NOT SIMPLY A HATER. SO THOSE TYPE OF COMMENTS ARE NOT MY OPINION. THIS VIDEO IS AN OPINION, NOT A REVIEW. Until this issue, I used to praise my machine to all visitors and friends, so I am posting out of shock/concern. IMHO, this is a health hazard that needs addressing.
During investigating why the water was leaking out of the Rotimatic machine, I saw that the water pipe was mostly covered with a black residue. The residues was clogging the outlet of the water pipe into the kneader attachment. This was the first time I had opened the machine, and was very concerned to see this. Other videos and posts hinted about this so-called "mold" but never really showed what the residue was, but in one case the video showed it was not removed by advanced cleaning. The "advanced cleaning" mode was introduced by Rotimatic only in later updates...(why?). And I am not paying $580 to replace tubing.
I have opened up my machine, and my video points that this residue is coming from the break down of the plastic nozzle attached to the tubing that creates plastic "off-gassing" like effect into the water pipe. I removed the residue and it clearly is NOT mold -- it has no smell, it is like an ash like residue, it is not water-soluble, and it breaks apart like ash/soot consistency.
The machine has been operating for more than 4 years quite well. Until the residue just clogged the outlet port once and for all. However, from the widespread accumulation along the ENTIRE water line, this has been happening for some time. I don't know if all machines have this, but I do recommended checking if you are not aware of the 'mold' issue.
THANK YOU to two videos gave me courage to open my daunting looking machine:
1. • Opening Rotimatic
2. • Mold & Abnormal Kneadi...
However, I could not get an explanation for what this residue was. So here is my video looking into it.

It's great that you were able to power it with panels removed. I had opened mine to fix bottom pan not heating. I agree with your FB post opinion, it is an ingenious piece of appliance. They just have to learn and fix issues people r seeing in real world use. And bring some local servicing centre's in North America. Asking U$580 (C$950 for us I'm Canada with taxes) is too much.

@Navin. Thanks for the comment. Ouch!! $900 CAD is just purely ridiculous for for example replacing tubing. Doesn't it even cross their mind what they are asking? I fully agree with you. It is a sad failure of management that will kill this innovation. Once you open the machine couple of times, you realize that it's not too much work. Btw, regarding powering it while open, in my case the back can be reconnected for tubing issues. You probably can connect extended wires from each of the power clips to the back cover, using either duct tape to hold the wires or clips. Then even with the fan connected one can move the back over on the top of the machine and still have power.. I am going to check the heating element and see if my suggestion works. Thanks, again.

Could you suggest the silicone tubing and the L shaped connectors that you got new to replace? Secondly, any suggestions for the electrical connector (This is the issue of the lower pan not heating) .. I don't know how can I share the picture here..

When they are selling rotimatic so costly, why can't they take immediate action ? It is putting many prospective buyers off. They have to use steel pipes instead of plastic to overcome this problem of mould and melting.

Hi! Good video. I am also nt a hater.. rather this machine has helped. Cleaning is indeed important to have it going. I am curious to see the tubes inside and before I open can you please tell frm where you got a cleaned water hose? Also can you please tell if it’s possible to clean the tube end to end?

I took the tubes out. I was foolish enough to not take pictures. Also I lost one of the nozzles. So I replaced the one with the oil as my oil was always leaking. So i never used oil. Do you by chance have pictures of tubes connected. Ex Does tube coming from water source goes clock wise or anti clockwise over the circlular thing(water controller I guess) ?

We saw the same black rubbery material when we opened our rotimatic. Have you found a solution to this problem? Are you still using your rotimatic? We are too scared to use it, not sure what kind of health implications will be there after ingesting that material for so long.

Dear Pooja. Thanks for your comment. It gives me support too about what I'm seeing. Unfortunately, for me, the water sensor has stopped working too. But, no, the original problem has not been fixed. I'm getting some detailed feedback from Rotimatic and they claim they have not seen this before. Also the motor seems to be burning up under some sort of strain. I don't think it is a good idea to use the machine when the nature of this deposit is unknown. In my case I was told it is definitely *not* mold.
