I wanted to see you use the unfinished TNT instead of the finished one

I love my TNT. For whatever reason, i have done well with balls that were less than enthusiastically received. I went to see JR about a benchmark ball, and this is the last one that he suggested. I bought it almost as an impulse buy, and I’m incredibly happy that I did. Depending on the pattern’s length and oil volume, It’s become the first ball out about 60% of the time. Thank you, JR, you do phenomenal work! I’ll probably be over some time soon to grab a Duo from RG. Love the channels!!!

Do you think the Roto Grip TNT and Roto Grip Gem are relative to each other in the way they move?

Picked mine up on Monday. 45x45x 4 is the layout. 259, 300, 202 for 761 out of the box with it. Kept it out of box surface

So are you saying the ball does better with the finished look instead of the unfinished??
@bladeknockingon700
@bladeknockingon700 16 дней назад
@@JET1970for reference, it was a 3 man league. Meaning the shot holds up real well and I barely had to move. Add to that I was dialed in and shot 21 in a row with a 300 game 2 and it makes it look better. In oil the ball is great. Dry to medium conditions, look elsewhere. This ball is great for short patterns or if there is decent oil. Otherwise the ball burns up too much energy and has nothing on the backend

@@bladeknockingon700 well I'm looking to buy a new ball since I have none so what could you recommend for both oil and dry one ball use only
@bladeknockingon700

@@JET1970depends on stats but I would say roto grip attention star would be a good option. Virtual energy blackout is another good choice. Phaze2 or motiv venom shock

If I'm not mistaken, isn't this ball supposed to be sanded to 2,000 out of the factory? Seems to me that 5,000 is a little high for this and you would see a lot more reaction and pick-up if it was sanded to the proper finish.

Thanks for confirming this I thought the unpolished look was best for best book cause I'm considering this ball

I'm a right handed backup bowler, just ordered this ball. Would be nice to see a backup bowler who's not 2 handed give some advice on this ball and others. Your videos help the most though with ball reviews. Also a fellow CTD staffer here. Keep up the great videos

My left hand comes off the ball as it comes into my backswing, so I don't see myself as 2 handed. What stumps me is my backup balls often hook more than my regular righty throws, I was playing about 16 at the arrows with a Brunswick laser. Resin is usually too much ball for me but my backups looked okay with an old Super Cuda/C, and that might have some resemblance to the TNT.

Weird, your ball looks polished compared to my TNT...mine is dull with no reflection on it. Out of the box is 2000 grit but the scanner had it at 5000...does it really lane shine that fast?

I thought the unpolished look made the ball hook more that's what old hammer was like how does your tnt do

I am sorta surprised to see you wiping the oil off the ball after all the videos you made saying it makes no difference or it even hurts your game to wipe your balls of. I am not bashing on you for it because I think it is a good thing to do but I was just surprised.

I am not sure I see the TNT as a house shot killer but more of a tough pattern ball when the oil is 42-45 feet in length. The only video where it looked good from deeper was Luke's video after they did a surface refresh on it and James did a part 2 session. Ball looked completely different. But I still think this is going to be that ball for fresh conditions when the pattern is flatter when you can square up in the track and control the pocket.
