Would a more realistic test not be mix for a pre determined time, feed out then use a shaker box to determine the best mix throughout the feed passage?
both types of mixer work, i think its a matter of what type of other maskinery you have too. for example some helix mixers would have problems chewing a whole tough round bale of long hay, while most big vertical grinders chew them up using some horsepower-fuel but then again many farmers use say tub grinders ore wood chippers to crush tough bales. hehe, so i guess its a matter of choice and most important what you can afford
