I've been looking for a roof rack mountable fuel can that was cheaper than one of those military ones. I found out about Rotopax through intensive Google searching lol. I do disaster response and am on the road often. I keep a 5 gallon gas can but it is difficult to get on the roof of my SUV and it stinks up the inside if I put it in the trunk. I'll be ordering a couple of these this spring. Great video man! PJP
My question is, I see that you can lock them up, but while locked, anyone can open up the container and siphoon up the gas? Any anti theft device for the lids?
IF YOU"RE GOING TO BUY THESE AS A GAS CAN GET THE WATER CAN. KEEP IN MIND THOUGH IT WILL STILL BE A CHUGGER. THAT AIR VENT IS NOT AN AIR VENT. ITS STUPID TO SAY IT IS. THE VENT WOULD NEED TO BE ON THE OTHER SIDE TO ALLOW AIR IN. AVOID THE RED CAN LIKE THE PLAGUE. OPERATION OF THE GAS OPEN & CLOSE VALVE IS A NIGHTMARE TO SAY THE LEAST. IT'S A BASTARD TO OPERATE AND GET IT TO POUR. ALSO IT WILL BREAK IN NOTHING FLAT AND YOU'LL HAVE TO THROW IT AWAY. SAVE YOUR MONEY !
