Hand wheel Operation
A hand wheel Operation is provided to allow manual operation of the valve during electrical power interruption. During electric operation of the actuator, the hand wheel is mechanically disengaged from the drive. To engage hand wheel operation, the hand/auto selection lever is pushed down and released after which hand wheel operation remains selected. When electrical operations takes place the actuator will automatically return to motor drive without lever or hand wheel kickback
Battery Removal and installation
Remove the sealing plug using the appropriate Allen key, ensuring the “O” ring seal remains on the plug. Disconnect the battery wiring loom from the battery terminals. Using the black pull strap, lift the battery out of the rubber sealing pocket.
Fit the pull strap around the replacement battery and insert into the rubber sealing pocket. Reconnect the battery wiring loom to the battery terminals. Refit the battery sealing plug ensuring “O” ring is on good condition and correctly fitted. Hand tighten the sealing plug to 8Nm (6 lbsft) using appropriate Allen key.
Removal of drive bush
Using external circlip pliers, expand the circlip while pulling on the drive bush. The drive bush will detach from the actuator center column with the circlip retained in its groove
Install the base plate and tighten the four set screw securing the base plate to the grease case
