Awesome video of our town, glad yous enjoyed yourselves here, nxt time visit the Waitangi 2 hotpools at Rotoma. Turn of at Manawahe Rd, you will see the Rotoma School it's just down the road from there. This is a natural pool with actual dirt on bottom and has about 26 minerals in it, it is quite big too, but great for relaxing. Stay safe.
Been to these places...u will find so many vlogs or videos on the same topic...however...its u guys simple sweet charming nature and smile that makes this channel special...
Love the drone scenes. Reminds us of the California redwoods. So beautiful. You two must do a USA camper series one day. Amazing how they constructed everything while protethe trees. Honestly this NZ series is every bit as good as any of your world travels. Funny, the forest environment reminds me of the Ewok forests in "Return of the Jed"i:) Lovely ending with the natural hot spa. Thanks again for another NZ adventure, James and Kim
Hi guys, we just wanted to reach out and let you both know how much we love your videos. As a family, we love to sit down and watch your adventures and can't wait for the next episode.
The rain, the trees, the undergrowth....what an incredible atmosphere and smell must have surrounded you...I can smell it all the way over here in Canada 😉
Good morning from Perth Australia Hi guys love the video my sister in-law and my brother said when they have there wedding they want to take us to the redtree top walk must say it sounded so peaceful and wow the views amazing. Must say NZ is so beautiful
Man, I'm going to those trees, hopefully the night version. That really brought back my memory of driving THROUGH the Chandelier Redwood Tree in Northern California; on my 1987 One Lap of America visit. 10,000 MILES, in just over a month, buying a car for $400 on the day I arrived in LA; took in 2 NHRA National Drags, and 1 NASCAR race on the way !!
We did the Capilao bridge by night with all the Christmas lights. It started to SNOW ❄️ it was magical! Had no idea at the time it would be our last big trip. COVID ended our 2020 plans to Tokyo & Turkey 😢
Brings back great memories of when we did the Tree top walk at the Valley of the Giants near Denmark, W.A. last year. Very similar....except for the rain!
My sister and I were on uni break last yr and Living Van Life! We wanted to visit the thermal pools but couldn't afford it!! Instead we went to 4-square, bought some hot chocolate packets, made them up and sat in the cold lake near the hotpools !! Love your video xx
Definitely want to do this!! So beautiful and it looks like so much fun! I think I would have to do both during the day and then come back to see the nightwalk lights. Cold, rainy, winter days are apparently the days to do stuff to get places more to yourself!
I had no idea there were sequoias in New Zealand. I've been to the Redwood forest in California, and the tallest tree their is named Hyperion 115.5 meters. Looks like the fun continues, already looking for to the next video! Safe travels.
The redwoods! 🥰🌲 (closest emoji I could get haha!) they’re beautiful, I would give anything to go there to experience that and I think they’d be kicking me out of the place because I’d be there all day, it’s magical 🥰 also I found Stacey hilarious hiding behind the trees 😂😂😂
Love your content!! My bf and I are moving from North Isl. to the South Isl. next month and road tripping around on the way down. Tour videos are such a fun way to find fun things to do! 🤩
This place looks like my definition of paradise ❤️ and that spa! 🥰 The choice of music at the start when you guys were walking through the trees was just perfect. 🙌 If you you guys ever make it to Costa Rica (when the world finally re-opens again), there's a place called Monteverde, up in the cloud forested mountains that has treetop walks with suspension bridges like what you visited in this video. But it comes with the added bonus of some pretty extreme zip lining both through the forest and some lines are high above the canopy. Similar to Rotorua, they also had really clever ways of protecting the trees. This NZ series so far is amazing guys 👍❤️
The video and photography from this segment of the trip is some of the best that I have seen in a long time. Every bit of it! Pardon me for being so bold but the slow-mo video footage at the Polynesian Spa was just sexy...but in a very nice way. And, I think you intended it that way. Lovely trip with a special couple. Thanks for sharing with us.
Wow, what a great tree walk. We missed it. How long ago were those redwoods planted ? OMG, Al was in so much pain driving around Rotorua in our rented Honda Accord back in '99 Same back issues as Dane which have now cleared up after several spinal block injections and a miracle brace from the surgeon's office which provides relief as needed. Wishing Dane all the best for his recovery. Thanks for the smiles gang ! Love you both. Loni & Al
We're not actually sure when they were planted (must be a while ago considering how big they are now!) Glad to hear Al is doing better now, let's hope it's the same for Dane. Thanks guys, will pass on your well wishes 😁
Looked like another incredible day spent on your roadtrip! Tall trees like that are definitely beautiful. I had the pleasure of seeing some like that in Muir Woods in California. Great place.
Thanks for another wonderful video guys! I love seeing your adventures and all the little tidbits of information you give. The forest especially made me wish I was back there again....Much love from the Netherlands!
I was literally in the middle of watching your Taiwan vlogs when the notification came in! This place looks so beautiful. And the rain gave it a more mystical feeling. The canopy tree walk reminded me of Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, Canada. You guys are killing me with these hot pools. I'm getting relaxed just watching you guys in there! Another brilliant vlog. Looking forward to the next one! For now, back to D&S in Taiwan.......
Oh we loved Taiwan, wish we had more time there. Totally agree that the rain made it feel mystical. Crazy how many people have mentioned the similar bridge in Vancouver, were gonna have to check that out!
I just love the way you guys travel! Great food, activities you can do with sneakers and a cute hat ;) and....coffee..always coffee. Can't wait for travels to open up again and visit NZ
New Zealand has long been in our bucket list, and because of your epic journey we are even more excited to visit soon after this pandemic eases and borders open. My big question is: where did you guys do your laundry on this trip?!
In normal years there are a lot of New Zealanders here visiting, so you definitely need to put it on your list. I think half our ski hills would be short of workers if the ski bums from there didn't come here to work. 😄
I've just binged watched your last 3 uploads :) This trip is really turning into something special, even by your standards. Real kudos to you for facing up to the whole pandemic scenario in terms of limitations to international travel and making a series of this content and quality! It's why you have always been my favourite travel vloggers :)
Wow those trees. The forest; the rain; serenity now. We visited a hot spring here in Canada in February, the hardest part was driving hundreds of km after while staying awake.-Shawna🍁
Hope you get/got to Hanmer Springs pools. I actually prefer them to Rotorua, but then I am a Mainlander. Was once in the pools in Hanmer with it snowing. Something I will never forget.
That's interesting! We didn't have time to get to Hamner this trip but it's definitely on the list for our next trip 😁 Sounds like an awesome experience in the snow!
The Redwood Treewalk looks great. It's fairly new because last time I visited in May 2008, it wasn't set up yet. My itinerary was similar to you guys. I visited the spa after and it was also a rainy day. I reckon the mood of the spa on a rainy day is definitely superb.
Have to ask....how in the world you both stay in amazing shape. Abs are made in the kitchen.... yet somehow your guys' abs are made of beer, pizza, tacos and chips...lol
Hahaha great call! My abs are definitely made of beer and pizza. Danes on the other hand are also made in the gym - He's just all about the 80/20 balance, he works hard in the gym and eats well the majority of the time and then when we film and have fun we don't hold back.
Loved the music the the van as you got out. I was also thinking about California’s trees too. So beautiful. Not sure if they have anything like you experienced though. Just beautiful!
Hi, I love your video so much! My husband and I are going to Redwood Treewalk this weekend. Hope we have the same wonderful experience there. I also recommend Hell's Gate mud spa to you that is the only Geothermal Mud Spa in NZ. I think it's better than Polynesian Spa cause it's less crowded. I will keep following you guys. Thank you.
Love your vibe and your videos, especially while you’re travelling around NZ showcasing what we have to offer. A tip in future, could you please try and pronounce maori place names correctly? I have cringed in each NZ vlog hearing our place names mispronounced. Rotorua and Taupo were two examples in this vlog. Anywhoooo, thanks for the travel content when we all need a bit of escapism!
Bro.. would be mean if you could try a bit more to correctly pronounce the Māori names of all the towns you visit. Been watching a bunch of vids because they are cool, but sometimes my ears shrivel up and die, then I have to have a tangi for them. Choice vids tho, keep it up.
Bro... savage 😂 We've spent 30+ years saying things a certain way so old habits slip through sometimes. We've made a massive effort in our newer voiceovers because we can't go back and change the footage we've already filmed.
