Fan fact. The lyrics are taken from a chapter of the New Testament, the Revelation of John specifically, which he wrote in the greek language originally and wrote it in a cave in the greek island of Patmos. You can visit it today if you are into spiritual stuff. So you hear lyrics in the language they were originally written. Ancient greek. Also the repeated chant "Gaia Agia" means Holy Land and is an anagrammatism. Same letters in Gaia and Agia, in different order. Protochristianic greek culture is full of this anagrammatisms.

I was listening to this album alot when i was dominating the leaderboards on PS3 Hitman Absolution. I was number 1 in the world on almost everything from 2013-2018 until they shut the damn servers off. Rotting Christ, Lacrimas Profundere, Manowar(the song"Number 1" being my anthem lol), Theatre Of Tragedy were some of the bands i was listening to alot during that time. I spent 16 hours a day basically on Hitman. I almost died from my addiction. I love the Moonspell shirt by the way.
Their live shows are very energetic and amazing. I also had pleasure of meeting Sakis Tolis. This guy is amazing, busts his ass and does about everything behind the scenes for the band and if you like a good read they have a book out now by the Cult Never Dies. A friend of mine helped author it and provided some spoken dialect to a couple of the Heretics songs. Thing is the book is Non Serviam and its a biography about the guys and the band. I have another band reccomendation. A Krygyzstan shamanic black metal band thats based in Germany a long time now. Darkestrah. They mix shamanism, asian folk and black metal into some sublime melodic and atmospheric masterpieces. There are not any music videos but there are full albums on youtube and spotify and live performances. Perhaps The Great Silk Road, Manas or Turan are great starting places, but Khagan, and a few of their others are worthy too. A couple of my faves are from Manas - Memory, Turan Bird of Prey and the Hidden Light and The Great Silk Road Cult Tenegri.

It 's a great atmospheric track but there are dozens of other songs from Rotting Christ I love much more. Especially from their "Κατά Τον Δαίμονα Εαυτού" album.

666 is the number of the Beast, for it is a HUMAN number...this verse in Revelations is pointing out that the "beast" is a human. At the time John the Elder wrote Revelations, Nero was Emperor. Nero's name, when translated numerically in Greek, ibecomes 666. I know...ruins all of the fun lol. It could be said that what John was trying to say is that in the end times another "devil" will rise who is Nero all over again. Honestly, though...I think the mark of the beast of humanity isn't 666, it's $$$.

Although I think you probably know this, but I say it anyway: In jewish/christian mythology 6 is imperfect whereas 7 is perfect, so 666 is imperfect to the third power. Consequently Jesus' number would be 777 if he had one. Nice speculation though, especially the 69. When the music video started, I thought this will be a masterpiece, but then ...Must read the lyrics to fully appreciate this. Hi there , if u like some serious Stoner/experimental post rock music , plz react to an other Greek emerging Band , Villagers of Ioannina City , their second album , Age of Aquarius. All songs are awesome , I would recommend Cosmic Soul (as it is more intense) or really any other. If u don’t do a react video , at least give them a listen , believe me , it’s worth it.
In Greece they where suppose to give a concert in Patras city last week, and church people with some fascist's (same people) did every thing to forbid the concert... Now "rotting christ" gave a new date for a concert, many greek artist's like Aggelakas singer from "trypes" refused to give concert in Patras city untill "rotting christ" give there own performance. Lets hope fascism will not be unanswered HERE AND EVERYWHERE.
