What a performance for just being in a studio. Also, the guy who mixed this is a complete master at his craft. Rotting Christ I will always have huge respect for. Saw them about a decade ago in a small bar in California. They played for 15 people like they were headlining Wacken. Unforgettable show.

No ones knows and no one cares how YOU "rate" anything first of all, since rating is a personal view. One either knows about a band or not. Hence, WHEN someone finds out about the band, one either LIKES IT - OR NOT, simple. One may found out about a band later than somebody else in their life. Its always like this, we all have not noticed bands that existed before, yet that we are going to like. We knew about bands/releases, YET - have not maybe checked them out yet. This "mainstream" term is also illogical to say at least. PS. Ridiculous comment about Dimmu as well. DB older albums up to Enthroned are good classic albums. That they are plain bad after that album and nowadays is irrelevant with the term "mainstream".

Since 90´s years, Rotting Christ never disappointed! I remember when I was a simply teenager in the streets of my hometown in Brazil, enjoying a lot of RC songs, walking and screaming! Ohh poor insane little child... Thankful for this rememberance!

This is on a different level, the ultimate hard rock meets black metal. The rifts are superior, the drummer one with his kit and he fellow band mates, the bass making my bed and internal organs rumble! A band that has matured into another dimension! Imagine going to a pub and and seeing this band play live. A new meaning of heavy!

Sakis talking spanish fluently is a very nice surprise, deep respect for Rotting Christ that have aged like a fine wine, definitely the Greek black metal scene is very unique with a very dark and characteristic sound, which they helped pioneered along with varathron, necromantia, I hope they keep making music for many years to come. Hail Rotting Christ.

as a greek guy i can tell you that rotting christ are the reason we have metal bands in greece today. He literally opened the gates and kept them open. And still, in greece unless you are into metal you don't know who sakis is or how important he is.

@@christosarch6835 what the fuck are you talking about? i'm 35. back in the early 90's the ONLY thing we had was rotting christ, septic flesh and nightfall and that, was that. It's because sakis managed to make it that the rest of us knew that it was actually possible, even in this country(bands weren't playing concerts in greece back then, it was quite rare) and that's why there is a metal scene NOW.

FUCKING LEGENDS. Have met them back at 2003 Istanbul Concert.Usually live performances suck for black metal bands; but they were badass. The drummer actually broke the drum set.He was that brutal.

I was 15 years old in 1995 when they came to Israel and played live in Tel Aviv. I remember how this show blew my mind. Good to see that they are still around and kicking. Once a metalhead, always a metalhead... and it's just getting better with age.

well the age thing sucks a little having to avoid the pit sometimes cause i would really hurt people if i get too active or have certain gear on. then again it simply didn't bother me as a kid when i accidentally busted someones head open an i thought they were assholes for kicking me out of my first concert for that. "don't get near the pit if you don't want your skull split"

Having never listened to them before I've gone back and listened to all their albums. These guys have matured like a fine wine and have morphed into Rock Gods! No fancy instruments or effects! Just pure black hole heavy rock. Please release this as a high resolution album! I will pay good money to own this master lesson in rock!!

Yeah! look at NON SERVIAM, it is too raw in the studio version (IMO), here it is very powerful! I love their live performances.

It's phenomenal how full of energy the songs from the first few albums sound live. RC has gotten so good at their live shows that I almost prefer to hear them over the album versions of the songs. The one-two combo of Sign + Plagues is the best intro to any black metal show ever.
