I just finished the movie a few hours ago,, and I’ve gotta say,, the turtles definitely gained trauma.

If season 3 happens I hope I genuinely hope the series focus a bit on that trama and they can learn to get threw it Unlike every other Version of the turtle where trama doesn't exist

Wow, that is actually a great them to touch if there ever was a continuation to the story.

I’ve watched that movie so many times and I ugly cry every time. I can relate more to what Donnie went through bc I have the same sensory problems as him. Watching that scene was like my body became extra sensitive, every little itch became way more annoying, and everything touching me felt uncomfortable and annoying. My back also started to tickle like if those slimy things were on me. I can really understand if Donnie would have problems sleeping after that. And I feel really sad for Leo, when he was in that shadow realm he must have thought “and now I’m going to be tortured here for the rest of eternity and I’m never ever going to see my family again” And as soon as he sees the portal his brothers opened he cracks up a joke about it. Bc ofc he didn’t know they would save him. He just tried to hide all those feelings of regret and sadness so that he could try to make his brothers feel calm that he’s back. Bro I sure do hope future Donnie can give present Donnie those lottery numbers, they all need therapy :(

Okay,, I was gonna wait to watch the movie but I went and did the thing so I'm back to watch it again with new context. Movie spoilers ahead, proceed at your own risk. Mmm trauma flavor. Raph was mind controlled, mutated again, and almost killed his brothers, that would definitely leave him with mental scars and maybe intrusive thoughts. Mikey literally felt himself cracking away until they joined him, and he's..sort of a soft lil guy. I could definitely see it haunting him like that. Donnie.. I doubt I'd ever stop feeling it. If it were me. He'd have to live with the constant paranoia about it, and the hallucinations reliving that event. Leo.. Leo thought he would never see them again, but that he was atoning for getting them into it in the first place. He blames himself, and he also knew that in the alternate timeline, they died because of him. He has to live with the guilt from both incidents, on top of the new found fear of endless torture- And losing his family. He tells us S1 E1 humor is how he copes, and after that portal opens, he's cracking jokes left right and center. Leo is broken, and he isn't even trying to hide it.
