Okay so, Funneylizzie on twitter, Instagram and tumblr made this comic that's the pov of leos brother, dad April and casey's POV hearing kraang talking to Leo.
soon as I read it I got the idea to edit the video with the audio.
here it is as well, I posted it the same day the comic was made

I always assumed that the communication went down when the portal close but if they could still hear him through his earpiece then that is so much more heartbreaking

I never considered the idea that when the portal closed his comms still worked- Gosh this makes me sad.. You can only imagine the emotions they felt in this. Mikey was freaking determined to get Leo out and this fits with that so well. Every time Leo was hit, Mikey's desperation to save him grew.

I can make this worse for you. You know how Leo gets shot off into the vast nothingness? After they all hear *”Wipe that grin off your face!”* they would hear a bang and then nothingness. Mikey is trying to open the portal when it all just goes blank and his grief takes over in horrible desperation, making the portal through heavy sobs even when it started working.

Yeah exactly- after the whole thing is said and done they have him up and about acting like it never happened. If it wasn’t Nickelodeon then Leo absolutely would have come out of that portal in worse condition than his bros probably want to see him in. Even considering that they might have heard every crunch, every blow landed on him, every time Leo grunts in pain, they would have never been prepared to see just how beat up he surely should have been, accurately speaking

I like this bc I’m writing an AU rn and it’s just like this. I wrote it so they can hear bits and pieces while the portal closes, and then once the dimensional rift is sealed they lose Leo’s comms. But they hear enough.

I know that through the dimensions it's impossible to hear the communicator, but I'm sort of thankful for that. If that thing was able to show the sounds for the team then they would've had to be mentally tormented over hearing the slow and constant breaking and murder of their brother. Just imagining how mentally f1cked up that could make them is a horror scenario what I haven't considered. 😖😰😱
