Rouge's Visit - Sonic the Hedgehog Comic Dub 

Knuckles is the most hilarious character ever. He’s so strong and kind but very tempered and this is one best knucklesxrouge moment I’ve seen.

Things to note: Rouge's gift, (A kiss to Knuckles' cheek,) was cleverly hidden the entire time throughout each frame when he woke up. Covered by his fists when sprinting, behind his dreadlocks, the letter when he raised it, and so on. Rouge's ear also seems to have 'twitched' when Knuckles questions to himself aloud- "when did I become the guardian of crazy women?"

2:14 there's something so comically perfect about Rouge landing in a tiresome yet graceful way, then just faceplanting onto the ground

I think it's funny that she considers his Island "safe," versus "that place with the dangerous man who would harm me." It says a lot about their relationship.

I love Rouge's deep voice! She sounds so much mature. Like she's been through a lot.

One thing I love is that even though they fight A LOT and she steals his things Rouge knows this is a safe place to let her guard down and I find that sweet non verbal communication between the two

What I like about this comic is how well it shows Rouge and Knuckle's relationship and how well the two actually bounce off of each other. Knuckles knows Rouge is trouble and even in spite of the not-like Rouge action of collapsing face first on the island without warning, Knuckles still provides a blanket and watches over her putting his emerald at risk-twofold both by an outside force and Rouge herself should she wake before him. Rouge also knows him well enough to not be on the offense when he appraoches her in her vulnerable state and falling asleep right there, she also leave a note on the one place Knuckles will definitely find it along with the means of locating the gift she left him and what his reaction to it would be like. Also at 1:02 I like despite how fast asleep she is, her ear twitching and groan in annoyance at Knuckles comment of 'crazy women' makes me laugh. On a less serious note, where the hell did he get a blanket and chair from?

This is such an authentic anime vibe not to mention the good voice acting. If you were to ever expand from this to a professional TV anime Sonic series that's not another Sonic X, you'll make a ton of fans happy! But don't do it just for them, do it because you'd love it.

I always loved this rivalry, they hate eachother but willing to take care of eachother in a time of need and have this "impossible" romance that isn't as impossible as they make it seem, they truly elevate themselves when working together

Both Rouge and Knuckles' voices were excellent.

Even if Knuckles is a temper person, he can still be very kind sometimes.

I like that this could actually work as a legit short story for the IDW comics. No one is really out of character, here.

I love that you always find the comics that are the most in keeping with the characters. Makes it a much more enjoyable time when I dont have to explain that Knuckles isnt an idiot he's naive and gullible over and over.

0:56 Did Rouge just say “I want some cake” in her sleep? Lol I’ve rewatched this dub at least 5 times and I always end up finding new subtle nuances in her and Knuckles’ interaction. Especially illustrated in her sleepy annoyed reaction to Knuckles’ “crazy women” comment 😂 An amazing dub overall 🤩🙌🏽

A good portrayal of Knuckles is hard to beat, pair it with an equal rouge and it becomes even better. Great work with the voice acting, it really brings this to life.

This isnt out of character for Knuckles. Yeh hes a warrior and all but he has a good caring heart for his friends. After meeting Sonic and Tails they became his allies and eventually his best friends. Rouge did steal the master emerald but knuckles was nice enough to still save her after all the trouble she put him through in SA2 and Sonic X.

This is what knuckles supposed to be! He’s guarding his emerald not running around being the idiot.

This skit put a smile on my face, it's nice to see Sonic characters in character, plus it's just nice to see decent hospitality even if it's a drawing.

I kind of get the feeling with this comic that Rouge fell asleep, at that exact moment, because she knew that even though he was obviously unhappy with her being there, that she'd be safe with him around. And ultimately she was right. Knuckles doesn't trust her but he's also not gonna kill her or do anything that would endanger her because he's simply too kind for that. I like it when two characters have an *almost* antagonistic relationship except you know deep down they'd die for each other if necessary.
