So if I buy a lift kit such as so, I can send it to a shop like your guys and they will install the kit for me?

The lift is 1200-2500 brand depending. To install costs 1200-2000. The rcx lift I want for my truck costs 1200 then I want longer bilistien shocks, what the z71 package gives from factory. That costs 1500 to install costs me 1300. That's just on my 2005 1500. These newer trucks cost more. Easier on the check book to do it yourself.

Would this lift fit a 2008 Chevy Avalanche? LT trim.

If it's a 2500 avalanche good possibility. I have yet to find one so no. The kit your looking for is pretty much the same but different. Also I think the avalanche has something a little different in the front end. Side note, the trim doesn't mean anything, its just options in the truck like heated seats or a sunroof. You just have to be careful about the tranfercase. Meaning does it have auto 4wd or is it 2wd and just 4wd. Usually, kits for the avalanche cost 200-500 more then the regular pickup kits.

I have an 04 ave (old body style). If you go to rough country you can enter your vehicle information and it’ll show you what fits. Mine supports a 6” suspension lift, And I remember seeing one that said for your year ave.

In my experience, you do not lift your daily driver. You lift the truck you intend to take off road. I'll probably be lifting my silverado, but I have a reason for it. We need a truck we can take through the swamp while doing logging work at the cabin. Last year we were stacking lumber on top of the racks on quads and getting the wood out that way. It would be nice to be able to run a pick up through the area. Then again, when looking at the lift I'm also calculating the cost of the new transmission and transfer case. The brakes will need to be redone. The rear transfer case will also probably need to be replaced. One thing that was not covered in this video was the gearing in the transmission. Big tires necessitate the change in how and when the transmission shifts. If you don't have a reason to do it, you'll likely not do it right. I would also not suggest lifting a truck that still looks like new. That really just says you're doing it for show.
