Rough Country Lift Kit 5 Year Review. Should You Buy? 

Mine is a 3inch rough country. with vertex. I like it a lot. The off road is better. I work in the oil field and it handles the roads great.Great looking truck man. Keep em coming!

Just recently got rc 3” 🔥 love it! Got 22x10 rebels just gotta get bigger tires now! Ngl makes me wana go higher now , maybe when it’s time to do suspension again🤣

Another consideration is if you go with a 6 inch lift you really will need to drop another 2k on the power steps if you plan on any passengers under 5'5" or with reduced mobility or just don't want to fall on your ass in the rain, mud, or snow. 😅

I literally just got my truck back from the shop to get it lifted, this past Friday I went with a 4 inch lift from RC and sittin on 20x10s -25mm wrapped in some Kenda Klevers (35x12.50) Been loving it so far, besides the sluggishness. Ordered a tune, to hopefully get some HP and Torque back. I probably should regear, but I can’t do it right now, gotta wait a bit. I 100% got the look I was goin for and it came out as expected. Theres nothin that I regret, aesthetics wise. That gas mileage hurt a lil bit tho 😂

Why did you change out your control arms to BDS? And your RC shocks to fox?

Another solid video Q!. I've only ran BDS because my trucks were brand new and they back the 60k mile powertrain warranty.

I have a RC 6". I had a bracket crack. They sent free replacement in 2 days. I have no complaints!

I don’t care about ride quality for myself but I’m worried about my fiancee and son on the highway. We go on short trips like 2 hour trips. I’m going with 24x12s on 33s, all terrain tires/ hybrid tires on 5/6 inch lift with NorCal mod. I’m also replacing control arms and ball joints.

Man! I just appreciate your approach to truth and real with lifted trucks. You get so many guys reviewing lifted trucks that we just can’t truly relate to. What I mean is some guys pockets run super deep … some super shallow… some in the middle. I feel like you are talking from the average guy’s standpoint. No extra fluff. Just real talk. I appreciate that. It’s just like in the firearms game. Some folks are brand myopic and can’t see anything but that brand. I get that too an extent. But there are some firearms that are a valid mix of function and price. Price doesn’t exceed recognizable quality. If ya get what I mean. There is junk and there is cream of the crop. But that sweet spot is often in between. Thanks bro. Some of these companies get so big that they stop appreciating the customer not answering calls and customer service sucks. They start treating you like a side chick. Lmao.

I need help. I got a 2023 powerboost f150 Im doing a 6 inch rc lift. People are saying don’t run 12 wides on wheels. Should I say fuck it and do it or no I want that offset. What are the cons of running 12 wides on a truck like this ?

Ive thought about upgrading to fox coilovers in the front but they cost more than the original lift

Have a Zone 6” no need to retorque after first retorque after installing lift.

Q , have you experienced any Screeching in steering wheel on your f150??

I have the 6" standard RC kit on my 2023 Ram 1500ETQ with the 35x12.5 Nito RGs and 20 inch Fuel wheels and it rides like a dream, better than stock but it might be because in general Rams ride better with the rear shock setup. I go out to the south 20 and have to drive off the pavement but i dont "off road"

I haven’t lifted my 2022 yet Q but I’m leaning towards Rough Country !! I don’t off-road either other than the occasional hay field in the summer!!!😎💪🙏🇺🇸

Facts bro, their customer service is great! Had a squeaky coilover (twice) I called (they picked up right away) Call lasted 3 minutes Boom, two days later I had a new coilover at my front door 😭 It’s insane how great they are

I have the 4" RC kit with the N3 shocks and the front Coilovers. I have only had it since October, but it runs great. I was a little worried the ride quality would suffer, but it rides great! I'm a cheapskate, so even if I had the money, I can't see making a different choice, unless I was using it off-road all the time.

Once again you don’t miss with the videos I’m getting the RC as well with the upgrade shocks myself trying to get the 37inch tires as well ima have to hit you up to pick your brain lol but great vid boss GB out!!!

Love how smooth those tires are but up here in Illinois they are horrible in cold wet conditions. But I love my 19’ lariat with a RC and vertex I also changed my summer tires to Toyo MT for that aggressive look and the 10ply tire comfort and I’ve very satisfied. I’m sitting on 35x12.50r22

Yea I came to that conclusion a while ago. I dont plan on lifting it too high just for my family sake. 2" lift just to fit some 33s under it should work best in my favor. I love the look of super lifted trucks but I cant see myself daily driving something like that everyday, especially in the city.

I'm debating lifting my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500, it is my daily driver tho. It's only the 5.3 V8 and I'm getting around 15ish mpg right now. I was thinking about going with the BDS 6in with the upgraded Fox 2.0 as well as the leaf springs. I'd probably end up with a tune and regearing as long as it doesn't void my warranty but I'll have to talk to the dealer about that. They already said I could lift it. Just not sure how I'll like the lift over stock for daily use. Looks wise I would love it lol

Hard choice for a 5th gen ram 1500 with air suspension. Want bds but they only go to 4inch (idk why no 6 inch) but rough country offers the 6 inch so it gives the best of both worlds of 4 & 6(off-road mode). Quality & performance is my top priority

Q, u still my dude but on your RC vs BDS video, u said that when u put your truck into 4wd and start reversing, your cv axles pop. Also, you and I both know dang well, when you buy a RC 6inch Vertex Coilover Kit, they don't give you no BDS upper control arm that you have installed. Mentioning this cause you said your upper control arm angle was spot on.

I have a 6-Inch Rough Country lift (non Vertex) on my 2021 F-150 w/22x12 wheels on 35x12.50x22 and I have no issues with my setup whatsoever. I'm currently waiting on my new 24x12 wheels to come in for my new setup of 35x12.50x24.

Your paint job is clean. Do you have paint correct with a ceramic coating? I have a 2018 F150 Platinum with 104,000 miles on it. I'm in the process of building my truck, and watching your videos has given me plenty of things to choose from. I have chosen a lot of the same things you added to your truck, well, except for the lift kit. Im going with the 6in BDS coilover with the 2.5 fox.
