Thinking of 4.5 long arm kit from rough country it comes with everything then as time goes I can always swap out shocks and springs for better brands once they get old and still have all the long arm components
@@normie_productions6441 Smooth and still handles well. Soft springs and stiffer shocks and or bigger swaybars are a good rule for accomplishing that on most vehicles.
I have an OME lift - 4.5" from Rocky Road Outfitters on 31's. It's ok, but there are a couple problems with it: 1) The front springs are too short - they're really only about 2.5" and they add a 2" spacer - this is a problem over longer springs with lower rates because they don't get the most of the suspension travel and keeping the tires planted is not the best. ) The shocks are nice for that category, but I'd say they're a little too soft - I sometimes have some weird shakes/vibration transfer with MTs. I've got a pair of axles I'm rebuilding (29 C-8.25, D30HP), with 4.56 gears. I think I'm going with an IRO 5.5" on 33's next. Seems like a stronger setup than Clayton (and cheaper). Clayton's kit has you welding stuff directly to the uni-body channel at a 90 degree angle. I'd want to put some plate reinforcement there... because I want to keep my Jeep as long as I can...
@@williamrogers. I'm kinda digging going with a front/rear 4-link, or at least a front 3 link/rear 4 link. I think being able to swap leafs for coils is a huge improvement, not to mention they move the pivot point almost to the center of the Jeep. Know anyone that's done it? A lot of guys on the forums seem to be justifying their spend instead of giving an honest critique. Most of the content on YT is either advertisement, or covering buyer's remorse. It's spendy, but honestly it's only a few hundred more than a Rusty's long-arm kit.
