That shifty flip followed by the alley-oop frontside flip off that curved column, made me forget about everything in my life for a few seconds, my girlfriend, dog, family, eating, etc... I love that even at 36 years old, I can still watch a skate video and get that stoke, thank you Yuri! Trick selection and style cement skating as an art form as well as a sport. This is proof.
I love that no matter what country somebody is from, or what language they speak, skating has no language and we can all come together and relate through gnarly skating, it truly brings the world together like no other sport
Usually, when people do a FS half-cab flip to front blunt (which ain't too often), they slide the last three inches of the ledge. They certainly don't lock in, slide it all stylish-like for 7-8 feet, then throw the thing into a fakie nose grind on the way out. Some Yuri only-type shit.
That last run..... that nollie 180.... wowww! Those are the little beautiful things about skating that get me hyped! Not to mention the fakie flip fs blunt to 5-0 he did after... this dude is another level. 75% of this part are uncommon tricks. Kf bs blunt on a ledge?! I could spend all day talking about this part lol
He's got that sure-pop, he knows every time he'll make it on top of the rail at least. Shove into a 50 on a round rail is a NIGHTMARE for most skaters.
So sick, skateboarding is so tech, so difficult, and so fun. Loved all the work put into all of that, those skate/destroy sweatpants I will be in the look out for.
Recently I walked past many of these spots here in Rio de Janeiro, and I gotta be honest, guys, some of them look impossible to skate in person. Yuri Is a beast!!!!
THIS 10:23 is how everyone should do their bluntslides. Not a half-second tap, but a commitment to the slide and a proper pop-out. BTW, someone buy Felipe a new camera. This dude is putting in work with a VHS camcorder.
he's using the vx1000 on purpose im pretty sure ahahah to get rid of the glitches and keep this style/quality tho he could do the tapeless thing that people are starting to do with these
@@olicool476 Am I the only one that thinks the vx style filming is cool but in reality doesn't do justice to the level of gnar skateboarding is at these days?
I don‘t understand that zooming in trend in filming.. Why would you want to zoom in on the board when a trick is landed? Changes the whole perspective and the spot isn‘t visible anymore. Makes tricks look easier than they are in my eyes.
Exactly, and certain gaps/ledges lose the gnar factor because of that filming technique. We know, but they should film with the mentality to impress someone who doesn't understand the size/difficulty of certain tricks....some people hate on HD/60fps filming, but i think it should be used more often. Not what you were saying but just thought I'd add that bit.
