Cool vid, I too have this along with the cattle knife. Two big knives, with T10 carbon steel blades for $20, that’s a win in my book. I also have the bow canoe in this series, which I would recommend as well. Rough Ryders got me into traditional pocketknives after starting out buying modern folders. Then I discovered the 80s Winchester knives made by Queen when Bill H was still there, and I just couldn’t go back to modern folders. Unfortunately I refuse to pay the aftermarket prices on GEC, out of principle, so I “settle” for the Queen made shatt and Morgan, Winchester, Robeson, etc. But yeah, rough Ryders are def the gateway drug to traditional patterns cuz they’re so affordable, fairly well made, and abundant. They def have their place. I always think it’s funny when knife guys crap on Chinese made knives, yet literally EVERYTHING else they own was made there. lol I get it, American made is great, but value for money isn’t always there. I buy both, cuz knives make me happy :) great video man
Thank you. Yes I always find it funny when knife guys refuse to buy Chinese knives and make a huge deal out of it too. I understand wanting to support US companies and I do when I can, but if I see a cool knife that happens to be made in China I'm still going to buy it.
Hey BW, Great video buddy 👍🏻 Love the Cinnamon bone stag knives from RR 👍🏻 That jumbo trapper looks fantastic 😍 RR are putting out some great patterns that are a affordable way to check out the ones that you’re not familiar with 👍🏻 Thanks for taking the time to put these videos out brother 😎👊🏻
Really great looking knife, need to try and get one myself. Looks like a capable blade. I agree with your sentiment about how RR is a great way to get into traditional knives. Did it myself, got a RR and Bear & Sons which are cheap when compared to GEC or Cooper Cutlery.
