WE have 5 120x60x 22 high Steel buildings that we stacked on end 10 bales across the width of the shed stacked 4 high,,,(40 4x5) to the row 25 rows fill the shed...... All are destined for the Re-Baler.....
Great feeling to have winter hay in the barn! Does it matter if round bales are stored stacked upright, or on its side? Or is it just a matter of what fits better…Thanks.
I’m sure the orientation of the bale matters if it is higher moisture but these bales are as dry as small squares. I think normally a cement floor would sweat during high humidity conditions and the bales would soak up that moisture being stored this way. Before we poured the concrete though, we put plastic vapor barrier on the sand so this shed floor is always high and dry!
