Monk's masterpiece is in good hands. Literally. One of the most evocative off all jazz ballads, of jazz' most iconoclastic practitioner/genius.

It's so difficult to say and do something new on this song. It is so beautiful that it tends to confine you in the beaten paths, already very gratifying. But you do say something new! Respect and appreciation, and very grateful for exposing the chords.

I would challenge anyone to find a more professional arrangement and execution of Round Midnight. Mr. Koller may be one of the best if not the best professional pianist just about anywhere. To have his abilities he needed to begin when he was still in diapers. Much thanks without a doubt to his parents who must have encouraged him to pursue music and supported him in this endeavor.

The arrangement of the theme is great! Unfortunately the double time "solo part" doesn't fit at all to the mood of the piece. I was first delighted that Jacob abstained from his usual show-offy, superficial style, but here in this "solo part" it rears its head again...
