One thing that’s absolutely mind blowing is imagining how many “stories” each of the pieces have. Like how many families have used them, how they were styled, the different places they’ve been. Each piece has so much history it’s crazy

Absolutely I worked at a DAV (Disabled American Veterans) thrift store and we had to put signs on things like that,that they are for decorative purposes only.

We love goodwill, we just meant that the things we were buying here aren’t items to then go and refurbish. They are antiques that you ‘keep antique’

I know you keep antiques antiques I was just talking to the lady who said all she could afford is Goodwill I was like don't sleep on Goodwill because you find some great things there. I found a beautiful antique piece there yesterday for only $10.

I was curious if you ever Sage your antiques? I have several pieces that have just gotten acquired here & there & have been considering as I know nothing about them & have been experiencing some uncomfortable vibes where I live now & have for 13 yrs. I also live alone & it just feels empty, yet with crazy things happening & the home is not that old. Looked like a great trip & Mother Nature was so generous!

We have an Antique Market , called Aberfoyle (Ontario, Canada) opening day is April 24, I already booked day off work...lol. Not quite as big, as Round Top. I have certain pieces I want, as well. I’m going to do the same “pre-work” you did with printing picture and measurements. Thanks for the great tip.

Thanks for bringing us along. Would have been interesting to go over your wish list at the start for the audience to have a reference and at the end to see how you went, gives a bit more structure to video. A gimbal would really help when your walking around showing things as the jerky camera movements makes it really hard to watch. It might also help focus the screen as this makes it really hard for the audience to watch comfortably. I really like watching your vlogs but those things would make it that much more watchable

Wipe them down with some Murphy’s oil wood soap & sprinkle baking soda in drawers. Quite easy to clean. Doubt their home is musty smelling

I also buy a lot of vintage/antique wood pieces and rugs. I agree with the baking soda 100%. Also, just takes time to air out! I would say expect a “vintage” smell for maybe two weeks with a large wood item!

Round Top is super efficient. Hunter was already filling out the shipping paperwork - very nice husband. Know you guys are not big fans of color -- the big blue headboard pillow though, game changer. Love you both, can't wait for the next vlog. :)

I have many antiques, from 1800 hundreds, my favorite piece is a 1700 hundred cherry wood Victorian antiqued mirrored Murphy bed, very ornate...love, bought it 30 years ago... your home will be beautiful... you are doing it right.. happy And excited for you both...❤

If you ever come back to California there’s a beautiful warehouse and storefront antique shop that’s French and it’s called “Olde Anchor Antiques and Collectables” it’s in Penngrove right off Main St in a cute barn style warehouse and the store front is right across the street😊
