I was taught, on a spiral roundabout, just after passing the exit before yours, you move towards left (just like car 2 did in this video) What car 1 did was silly.
In England, you are allowed to do this. In most of North America, you are legally required to do this - if taking the third exit or beyond (you stay in the inside lane and exit directly from the inside lane, no lane changes in the roundabout allowed) BUT! In continental Europe. I learned the hard way. Do NOT do this. In France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, everywhere I’ve driven in Europe that isn’t the UK, You HAVE to change lanes to the OUTSIDE lane to exit and give way to any traffic in the outside lane. You aren’t allowed to exit from the inside lane there. If there is traffic in the outside lane of the roundabout blocking your exit, continue around again until you find a gap like in national lampoon. It’s a terrible system, but the French (and the rest of them) are the way they are 🤷🏻♂️
You have to exit outside lane in Uk too lol, there can be double lane exits, but most roundabouts if turning right you have to start in the inside of the roundabout until you pass the exit before yours and you check mirror indicate and move to the outside before your exit and exit off lol, in North America roundabouts are extremely rare, you guys seem to just do whatever you like on roundabouts there doesn’t seem to be any system in America from the videos I’ve seen, nothing like how it is in the UK
Do you see the problem? Of course. For the entire duration of this instruction, there was a single-seat, twin-engine, supermaneuverable Sukhoi Su-35 Flanker-E air-defence fighter observing you this whole time.
maybe because he taking right turn with in few yards after the exit After the exit if you turn right you can use right lane. its helps for left lane trafic to keep moving smoothly.
Looking backwards while turning is a surefire way to fall out of your lane. I just check the mirror and use peripheral vision to see if anyone is next to me.
When checking the blind spot to exit you only need to stay to the right if a car is there and exiting beside you at the same time. The car beside you should be offset of you to the rear as they should not enter the roundabout until you have past thier entrance
We should change to left lane just after the penaltimate exit unless it is not safe to do so. Thats the normal procedure I know. Right lane is for overtaking only. If you exit in the the right lane then you have to move back again to left lane. For that you have to either overspeed or slow down. Overspeed will count as fault. Slow speed may cause the traffic behind. What do you suggest?
It is not good. If he will do nice peel off he should finish in left lane. Second thing is this, If on exit there is a single carriage way. What have to do. If you follow to this way after joing right lane you have to change the lane and come back into the left lane. Because right lane is for overtaking. For learner it is not helpful at all.
