Every time I mix a song (regardless of it being an original composition, a cover or a remix of something else) I always end up with multiple versions - and some of these I eventually find too good not to share. As you all know I am pretty busy working on a video I announced last summer. It's going to take a while and I'm not going to make any promises regarding its release date. But I do have some smaller scale content on the way in the meantime, such as this super-dreamy version of 'Crockett's Theme'... and yet another, similarly melancholic version of 'Sleepwalking' coming later today. Enjoy!
Have you noticed how popular synthesizers are getting? It's not the same as a lonely man with a pony tail, singing of his love on a guitar, at the door of his hermes hacienda. But it is not far short, see what you think of Mr Jan Hammer.
My dad is a big fan of Miami Vice and VC (vice was the only gta game he's ever played) And he really likes all these songs you guys make. So if my dad likes it you *know* it's good.
I actually lived in the 80s and that comment makes no sense to me. Yes, the 80s were great as a child. You and people your age only love the 80s because you love the pop culture from it and the bullshit nostalgia the media feeds to you. You'd have been bored in the 80s because iPhone and android phones didn't exist. Xbox didn't exist either or playstation. Air buds were not a thing either. You actually had to get creative to have fun. Plus, there was this epidemic called AIDS and there wasn't accessible medicine for it back then. Not to mention a recession in the early 80s. So, no era is the best era. It's a matter of opinion. Life is full of shit moments and awesome moments no matter what era you live in. Welcome to life.
@@rat_finkdiam I know what you mean but I was born in the 90's; I grew up playing in the streets, didn't had PS or Xbox and wasn't Much of a computer guy. Still remember when kids asked each other who already had Internet ahah So yeah... That wouldn't be a problem 🤣
@@miguelbombas4000 what you like is the mythologized idea of the 80s. like how the 'wild west' is a mythologized idea of the US western frontier during the mid to late 1800s.
@@entityaccount3876 Ah yes I'm aware of that. I also really like red dead redemption and western or medieval movies but I know that life on those times would be horrible.. by today standards or not.
"You know, Ken. I think this could be the beginning of a beautiful business relationship... After all, you're a conniving, backstabbing, two-bit thief, and I'm a convicted psychotic killer and drug dealer."
I'm not jumping on the 80s band wagon but it' was the best decade , never will a time be so modern and free again. Now we live in that dystopian future movies in 80s warned us about big brother watching us policing our thoughts and taking our rights away.
i know the feeling. it's funny how movies in the 80s were a subtle reminder of what the future has yet to entail. for example, the terminator. in the movie, machines overthrow humanity and threaten to obliterate all humans. look at today's technological advances and you can see humanity going downhill.
@@Flamethrower1942 Robocop shows a bankrupt Detroit in the near future, and then you look at it now...all that's missing are ED-209s running in the streets and gangs terrorizing the populace with military-grade weapons.
Your channel is amazing. Miami Vice one of my all time favorite shows, Vice city one of my all time favorite games. Huge fan of 80s music and culture. Glad to find someone else who feels the same. Crockett’s theme can be reworked over and over, it’ll always be great.
oh man, this is the best one so far. this is so similar to original Crockett's Theme that was featured in early Miami Vice episodes when Crockett's Theme was not a single yet. it had this dreamy feel to it. thank you!
This music itself is the time machine taking us back to the 1980s . I nevered lived in that time i was born in 2005 but gta vice city , miami vice and this theme took me to the 80s Old is gold afterall
My only dream in life from this point forward is to be successful enough to play this song while I'm cruising in Miami driving this Ferrari.. The feeling I get from listening this soundtrack cannot be explained. So soothing yet so powerful
I wasn't expecting the sound change of the high-pitched synth, this one is even more laid back than the original, which I'd qualify as a "laid back thinking about tense actions", if that makes any sense.
I see here a small movie... 2022... Camera fades in to a letter with the header "funeral of Ricardo Tubbs", camera slowly moves away to a glass of whisky in a hand and slowly shows a lonely and broken Sonny Crockett, staring on to the sea... Finally he stands up, makes himself ready to leave... he goes to an old garage, where he removes the cover from his Testarossa, for this one last ride with it... cruising down the road, some flashbacks to the old times at Vice of him and Tubbs in the 80s.. at the cemetary, he stands away on a small hill, hands in his pockets, and watches the funeral in distance... and at the end of the funeral, the camera shows Castillo, looking up the hill, seeing Crockett, their eyes have contact for 2 seconds, then Crockett is turning and going away... then the camera shows the back of the Testarossa, slowly going more and more in distance, until you see the road going down to the sundown, and the car then got invisible in the sun's red light...
Epic tune! Love 80s lush sounding low strings and brass keyboards, and distorted guitars with some chorus, and tonns of reverb and delay. Great vibe and dreamy atmosphere...
Bring me back to the 80's! TV shows, music, clothes and cars....there will be no more times like in the 80's. I will always remember these times. Best years of my life! I'm always sad when I think of those times...they are gone...forever😔
There's a speciality of this song, this is the one of most powerful in RetroSynthwave songs ever. It feels like you are in the world u have never lived in but its a retrowave world with the atmosphere of 80s. It is a different feeling that i couldnt describe. Crocketts is one of the best snd most powerful retrowave song in my opinion. Although, i cant believe jan hammer created this masterpiece thst made into retro world great.
Everyone be like, mdma is a blast, let's go dance! I just love putting on Crockett's Theme, various covers and remixes, and just lay there, all happy and imagining I am in 80's Miami.
This just can't get stale anytime . I think this theme gets better and better with each version. Nobody can ruin it, whatever one does to it. Its timeless classic.
