Rounding Cape Wrath - May 2023

I had the privilege of paddling with Alison French of Sea Kayaking Plocton and her friends, Ali, Jago and Bradley around the iconic headland of Cape Wrath, the north westerly point of mainland Scotland (Britain). As you will see the conditions were perfect even if there was a sizeable swell. We set off from near Shiagra around 15:00 and arrived in Kearvaig Bay around 19:00. It was one of those incredible experiences for me.

@@NickRayLifeAfloat Good luck tomorrow. I still don't have the Land Rover back from the garage so I'll definitely not be there unfortunately but I'll definitely catch up with you for a few more miles at some stage over the next few days.

Nick, As usual amazing video shots. I’m interested in how you get those video shots. I’m guessing you have a GoPro 360 camera based on the curvature of your paddle. I can’t figure out how you seem to get some of the side views. It’s as if you have it on a motorized dolly of sorts. Stay safe sir !!!!
