Let's keep on with the Stagecoach theme, but instead slink away from the capital, and slide to Kent, to a trifecta of Kentish E400s, and starting off with a Scania offering first of all, we have N230UD 15559.
15559 was new in early 2010 and was new to Stagecoach East Kent as one of a batch of 25 Alexander-Dennis Enviro400 bodied Scania N230UDs, with this example being new to Herne Bay for use on "Triangle" routes 4 & 6, where it stayed until late 2023, whereupon it transferred to Ashford depot for use on routes such as the 1X, 2 & 2A, 10 & 10X and various town routes.
Our journey sees on Route 1X, which runs from Canterbury Bus Station to Ashford, Park Street via Wincheap, Thanington, Chartham, Chilham, Godmersham, Bilting, Kennington & Penlee Point. The route runs every hour, but also has a 1A service that runs just from Canterbury to Chilham providing an extra hourly bus along this section, with our 1X headed to Ashford.
15559 is powered by a Euro 4 Scania DC9 engine coupled to (I believe) a ZF EcoLife 6-speed automatic gearbox. So I hope you do enjoy some swift Stagecoach Scania action.
