have you contacted Joe DeKehoe, He wrote a book that details the history of Amboy and the towns and people in the surrounding desert. Look him up for lots of great information. I grew up in Amboy from 1952 to 1962, knew Roy well and went to Amboy School, then we left for the big city. For years I've gone to Cadiz and Amboy to visit just because it feels like home. Unfortunately many get the history of the area wrong - Joe does not, he's right on track with details.
