We are currently on a Route 66 Road Trip in our Ford Transit Connect Micro Camper Van. Missouri is the second state we drove through on our 2 week Route 66 road trip. Some of the highlights for us were the Chain of Rocks Bridge, St. Louis Arch, Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, Meramec Caverns, the large rocking chair and, of course, Uranus! All of these are must do stops along Route 66 in Missouri!

LOL _ so your Van does not like hills...LOL, wait till your out west LOL. You will find out out what its really like driving a Transit Connect in the mountains! Be sure to share this experience with others. As far as Uranus goes. Thats one crazy place! I stopped there a few years ago and we could hardy stop laughing at the perverted T shirts and let's just say adult humor. Carry on!!!

I didn't know that Uranus was new! I just assumed that it had been there since at least the 60s. I might not get anything done today except watch your videos, which are very entertaining!

Oh my gosh! That was such a fun video!. I so want to take that route 66 trip. I also think you should go back and count how many times you said Uranus! It was hilarious when Mike told you to say where you were going. Then you just threw in the word everywhere, then Mike couldn’t stop saying it. Have fun more fun you two.

That bend is insane no wonder they rerouted it. Also this bridge had a very gresome rape and murder that occured on it when it was abandoned

Haha Heather's T was awesome. How far west you coming? I'm in Mesa (East valley of Phoenix) and it was 113F. As you get west of Albuquerque, NM it will be hot except for elevation. Having said that Flag is 7,000' and 70F-50F. If you stay on 66 you will reach Amboy, CA, mid 70-50F you may be able to camp at Roys Motel & Cafe, I did but it's a Harvest Host location. The Crater, 2 miles away has free RV parking but it was full when I was there. We will have a new moon, 06/28 so weather permitting I may be there to shoot the Milky Way and some star trails. Safe & wonderful journeys!

Thank you 😊 We are going all the way West! We are actually already here! (we are a little behind on videos haha) You are 100% correct on the heat, it has taken some getting used to for us Northerners, and by getting used to we mean there has been lots of complaining BUT it has totally been worth it! lol Our experience and the views out here have been nothing like back home and we are so incredibly happy we get to explore this side of the country. We passed through Amboy not too long ago and pondered about doing the crater hike but the heat was ultimately the deciding factor so we passed on doing the hike . That just means we will have to visit once more! If you get out there we would love to see some pictures!!!

Loving all of your stops on the way of Route 66! My husband and I are going this, this spring. Can I ask where you parked for the St Louis Arch? All I keep finding is parking garages, and we'll need a parking lot for our van. Thanks!!

Thank you for the kind words and for watching, we really appreciate it! There was a lot of metered street parking on Memorial Drive which is the road right by the arch. We tried googling the exact spot and came across this on the Gateway Arch website: "Accessible metered parking available (first come, first served) on Memorial Drive between Walnut & Market Streets and Chestnut & Pine Streets" (www.gatewayarch.com/plan-your-visit/#directions-parking) We got there in the morning and there were plenty of spots still available, it was also a really short walk to the arch through the park from there.
