Absolutely the cutest of towns God I would love to spend a day or 2 in there and loved that room - I'm guessing toy leave you will be publishing your own Route 66 Book 😂😊 I would buy it Good Job Simon
Keep them coming Simon. This is brilliant mucker. Me and the missus watching you every day like binge watching a series on Netflix. Your a natural mucker 👍
I was very excited about the New Mexico stretch spent a lot of time there and skied on those mountains it’s Angel Fire .. And Santa Fe my favorite town is so lovely brought back good memories that’s what I love about this trip mate 👍
That Santa Fe architecture was so cool to see 🤘🤘. The Mexican food looked amazing 🤩. Way to throw your weight around and get Kings Rest Courts special sign lit up 🤘🤘🤘
Simon - It is now a daily ritual for me and the Mrs to sit down and watch your vlog. (We have been fans since day 1) - can’t you drive back and do it again 😂 Your enthusiasm is infectious - thankyou so much for sharing. Chris and Lorraine
Love all the motels you’ve picked up along your travels. You’re going to come home with a comprehensive collection of memorabilia to remind you of route 66. Maybe you should open your own museum
Santa fe looks so cool … can really see the architecture and scenery changing in this stretch of the trip… the shops looked nice aswell bet there’s plenty of cool knifes for sale !!!!
So pleased the lady at the motel lit the sign up for you, Simon. I know how you enjoy a bit of neon. Santa Fe looked like a really nice place to visit. I would have enjoyed a browse around them shop's. Hope this trip is everything you dreamt it would be x
Santa Fe looks amazing 🤩 I don’t think I could have left without buying loads in those shops. Loving seeing all the interesting places you are visiting.
So glad you visited Santa Fe. Last time I was in Vegas, got chatting to a lovely couple who'd just retired there and they were telling me what a great place it was.
What a fantastic place Santa Fe is. As for dinner, when your pork stew/soup came out I thought that was your main course, then the next meal came out ! My husband said the food portions are always like that in America. Looked delicious plus a fancy lemonade 😊 I don’t think I’d have ventured into that Blue Hole either, it was SO deep ! Lord knows what might be lurking at the bottom 😂 The countryside looked very different in this vlog. As always I’ll look forward to the next instalment. Cheers Simon
Another brilliant vlog, Simon. Just loving the daily doses! My lovely Mum and Stepdad introduced me and my Husband to your channel a week or so ago and we have become hooked! Santa Fe looked so lovely, and probably one of your best meals yet from the looks of it. Thank you so much for letting us all share the memories along your journey. God bless to you too and here’s to tomorrow’s dose!
That Blue Hole is beautiful and scary at the same time. Wonderhussy (youruber) filmed a video there recently. The churches ⛪️ ♥️ , beautiful architecture. The Patio restaurant 😋...food is right up my alley...Mexican ❤.
You can keep the Sarf Landaner out of Nevada but you can’t keep him out of Las Vegas😂🤠 Looked like a great little town that Santa Fe. We love the small towns😍🤠
I would love to-scubA drive that blue hole . 😂😂🇺🇸 this was a good long drive mate I am a lorry driver, I wish after 4 .5 I could rest up 😂😂 but where you are right now I’m a semiDriver big rig and I would love to drive that part . You got to get a photo frame of route 66 at the end holding your pass book with all the stamps on it and get some one to take the photo 🎉🎉
Las Vegas, New Mexico is the original Las Vegas. 1893: Helen Stewart became the first Postmaster of the Las Vegas area in Nevada but they call it "Los Vegas" so that people won't get confused with Las Vegas, New Mexico and send the mail to the wrong place. 1903: Los Vegas is changed to Las Vegas in Nevada. 1905: Las Vegas, Nevada becomes a town on May 15 with the land auction around Fremont Street. 1911: Las Vegas becomes a city, incorporated on June 1 with a special election, 168 in favor, 57 opposed. Women couldn't vote in Nevada until 1914, which was 6 years before the U.S. Constitution was amended in 1920.
I remember reading a story about a guy who got on a plane to go to Vegas Nevada but ended up in Las Vegas New Mexico. He didn't realize his mistake until he landed at the airport. lol
Las Vegas New Mexico is one of the cities and towns on the High Plains which are different from the Great Plains of the Midwestern US as they are at elevation.
Another enjoyable day. What a lovely town. Love all the local craftspeople. Of course the signs are my favorite. In case you missed my late comment from 2 days ago, I did make a sign for you. Need a way to email it to you. Happy trails!
Not sure I’d swim in that blue hole. I like something where I can still touch the bottom. The edge looked fine, though, especially when it’s hot there. Will stick to the bathtub for now. So, the fork in the road. Good you’re able to go in both directions. First choice turned out to be a lovely day in Santa Fe. Plus, it may be a rare time you didn’t lose money in Vegas (hopefully the same thing will happen at the end of the trip). Bugs Bunny used to say he should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque when he got lost, but he didn’t have GPS back then.
Probably the only time in Las Vegas when there wasn't a one-arm bandit in sight. And that meal and lodging, well it really was fit for a King! See you in the morning!
How beautiful is Santa Fe! 😍 And the fooood!!! 😋 Thank you for taking us with you Simon, we are loving it! We said ‘Night Simon’ all 4 times you signed off 😂❤️
@@simonsouth6184after reading this comment I noticed I was unsubscribed for your channel 🤔 I was 100% subscribed and did not unsubscribe. 🤷 strange one.
Just got back from a trip so am literally binge watching the series from the start like a proper box set 😂 Loving every minute so far and it’s very educational too love hearing about all the small towns.
This was my favorite so far, Simon! I am a retired Spanish teacher and I collect Mexican Day of the Dead pottery. I would have gone crazy in those shops, especially the one where you bought the hand painted tile! Santa Fe looks so beautiful!
Hahaha you don't need to hide from the mirror!! We saw you back in Vegas when you were part of a little group pull although I can't remember who it was with. Might have been Begas Vaby or Nicky and Claire? I thought your pork stew was your main course!! You definitely have hollow legs 😂
My professional opinion is you need to hire a horse and a wise Sherpa, walk through the Joshua Tree tripping on shrooms and come back to England having opened doors in your head you can never close
