It takes a lot of people to explore the ocean - at any particular moment E/V Nautilus can host up to 31 members of the science team and 17 ship’s crew, all contributing in various ways to the scientific efforts of the Corps of Exploration. One of the things PC gaming (and radio control flying) can help with the spacial/situational awareness, for ROV piloting, is to incorporate head tracking with the cameras. This eliminates the need for additional buttons, and hand control. And fluidly ( and natively) pans the camera around, with minor head turns.

I wish you'd have something that covered Hercules for people who have watched Hercules on the bottom. It would show the drawer in the front and on the right side and the misc tubes and the suction tubes, but from the view on the deck, dry. Could you do that please? I've been watching for years and years. It would be complete, describing everything about each feature with great complete video on the deck.

I fly as an offshore helicopter pilot out to oil rigs. Always thought the ROV pilot gig was so cool, sometimes wish I’d gone that route instead. They probably wish they had my job lol 😂

I once wanted to be a RoV pilot, but graduate its so expensive in Brazil and demands a lot of contacts to work with :(

So im planning on being a research biologist but I also really like the ROV technology. Is there a CHANCE that I could fulfill both roles as both pilot and researcher?

Doubtful but I imagine it’s possible in some way… ROV techs are specific jobs, when you’re working on ROV crew your glued to that all day. Don’t just skip out and work somewhere else on the ship. At least that’s how it is in Gulf Mexico and oil industry…. Could do different jobs on different Hitches.. As a contractor.. could Definitely do that.

Whether a person background Oceanography can have a career as ROV Pilot ? I thought I had personal attribute requirements according to IMCA R 002 but still had doubts about my educational background, i hope still can chance
