Good catch. My personal theory was Rover hit their head really hard when they fell from the upside down sea and lost all their memories. This seems like the most possible scenario.
Given the Abby has the power to absorb Threnodians or any Echo, and it was written that Rover absorbed a Threnodian on probably their first incarnation, wouldn't Abby be the framework used in the creation of the Pangu Terminal? Jue also mentioned our link with Abby was mutual, that we let it in, instead of absorbing it. Then again, the Unknown Goddess also put something inside us (most likely Abby) in this incarnation. So many questions dude, can't wait to see more from this game.

The theory of absorbing the Threnodian in order to seal them makes sense to me, considering that Overthrax, a powerful Threnodian, didn't even face the Rover directly and fled. Given this, the Threnodians must have memories of the Rover, or at least instinctively knew that the Rover has ways to permanently end them (by sealing them). Alternatively, it might just be that the Threnodian was not fully reawakened, since the Rover mentioned in the dialogue that it seemed weak
Yup, it would be interesting gameplay wise too if we could absorb them and use them. Like maybe the overthrax echo would spawn other lil small echos and they jump the enemy. Kinda like furinas skill from genshin
The rover is probably from the future and the past in the opening cutscene where the rover is floating in space they where around floating rocks which could mean SOL3 may have got destroyed and they go back in time to fix it that's why Jue said that( this time ) the rovers decision has changed which means some time in the past they had the same question proving that the rover is a time traveller

Lol no. It's literally stated in the story that sentinels aren't made. They were born from the pieces of a dead god. It was stated that a powerful God died and its remaining power split and created the sentinels. They weren't something that evolved and eventually became the sentinels. They were literally just born that way.
Ok so one of Abby’s name choices before she chose Abby was Abraxas. Abraxas was a pagan god according to the Bible, it was also a demon. So could that mean Abby was like something really powerful in the past? Even more powerful than a threnodian, what other tier is above a threnodian. Abby and Rover are very peculiar…
Like other commenter said, Rover seals Threnodian as he managed to fight off aid the humanity back then. Abby might comes off as actual villain in the very last ,who could be way powerful than Threnodian where Rover took noticed . But Abby comes off as way too dangerously of an enemy to the humans even Threnodian could be scared of Abby's power display in the heated battle with Rover. This makes me believe led Rover desperately led to a difficult choice to seal Abby and himself on the unknown to make sure Abby not destroying the humanity Rover had make from Abby's sheer power on him. But sadly Rover had to erase his and Abby memory in order Abby didn't have any recollection what happened back then and himself .He decided that both drifted to the unknown for the benefit of not to be found anymore to avoid another disaster that could happen if upon Abby awaken again. Rover literally saved nearly everything and can't catch a break
Theres the theory going around that either Rover is from the past, or even the future. Either we got sent into the future with visions of the past, or got sent into the past with visions of the future. Theres a big thing with "Time" in the internal world of WuWa. Also I think at the start of the game, at the login screen, I think we are in the Water at the Sky, + we came from there as well after the Goddess did her magic on us.
Awesome video, I agree that at one point rover might've done something wrong, perhaps in a way that was morally wrong but needed to be done perhaps? I hope kuro branches on this aspect since it's cool to see the character we play as either turn out to be evil/done some wrong while being seen as a god ig
Piggybacking off of what you said as a theory of Rover having done something bad in the past, maybe they did something bad with Scar and/or the Fracts, and they screwed up so badly (e.g. causing Lament or something to that degree) that the only way they figured they could seek redemption is to wipe their own memory, to re-experience the world as a person amongst the people of Huanglong to better lead them in the future; whereas Scar/Fracts don't know about the whole attempted redemption thing, and figured "oh Rover was with us before, once they find out who they were surely they'd go back to being bad with us etc."

Now that I think about it, Kuro intigrated Rover into the [in-Lore Story] of Rover to Jinzhou very well. This is gon' be a little yap fest so try and stay with me here!!! So we know by the end of the current Story at the end of Mt.Firmament, that Rover used to by Jué's Master, the Lord Arbitor. Jué altered the the Time around Mt.Firmament, it's a Spectro Echo, and connected to Jinhsi (who is also a Spectro Ch.) Jinhsi and Rover have a connection to Jué, and the first powers of the Rover is the Spectro elemant, and they are the only Ch so far that can slow down time by themself (when his Conserto energy is full, and the next Ch can do their full Intro Skill.) Also the Frequencies of the two being "undestorted and authentic" That's what I'mma just lay out there. Hope you caught my drift on it xD Love your vids man!!!
I think Rover kinda have some space/time-related ability, like he had multiple personas across different dimensions, because sometimes I feel they know sth that they shouldn't know: Once it was with Encore and Aalto, when we first met Aalto and he said that he was looking for a girl, Rover immediately asked if the girl was pink-haired/bouced when she walked, which even suprised Aalto because we knew about someone we haven't met (we players might know about Encore because she a convene character but lore Rover seriously just met Aalto for seconds), another is with Jiyan when we have the options to ask him if we ever met, ofc this can be explained by the previous foresight we have about him, but still, I have the feelings that Rover might even have interacted with him beforehand
There's more questions than answers about The Rover what my theory is that the crownless The Rover fought in the game the first boss was literally a copy of the boss the real Crownless was inside the giant statue while the copy of itself was a weaker version of itself hence the reason why it was easy to kill or absorb and from the reaction of the dreamless it seems that it was furious that the Rover reawaken or maybe just angered and the Ovathrax is a complicated one did the Rover fight it in the past and somehow Ovathrax took advantage of the situation and absorbed their power the story is a bit complex and complicated but I love lore and theory so why not. There's more questions and answers right now regarding the Rover and their past.
The rover themselves didn’t fight Jue. It was a fight between Jinshi and Jue , and Jue isnt bad so there also wasn’t a reason. Now the other fight might just because bro was sleepy and hungry and our body had sound isolation so Abby didn’t know. But when we fought the dreamless, when we absorbed some of the energy Abby probably woke up and absorbed some too due to our convergent codependency. And then when bro was energized they noticed the big blast and absorbed it. That’s just what makes sense to me tho. Maybe bro is just a fraud and lazy 😭 idk
Well given theirs a time travel and parallel timeline etc in PGR, WuWa might be a parallel world so theirs that. But its impossible to be a Prequel, PGR basic premise is the fall of golden age humanity technological peak, because of punishing virus which corrupted the machines, no mention whether their were "resonators" etc in PGR as far i remember. But its possible to be a sequel but we don't know whether its a connected sequel or different timeline/ending/story of what they're intending with PGR. Cause the new Lucia Pyroath has kinda same power as the goddess (blackhole,eclipse like) in the beginning and the fact she look like Lucia so.....yeah, the only question whether from which timeline.
@@reko8324 Never finished Honkai story or even bothered with Part 2 ever since ive mained PGR i hate Mihoyo gacha to the core, i stopped in Himeko last form or was it herrscher of the void forgot since i got the two char, but on WW being the past to begin with, The Goddess being look too alike with Lucia is a pretty obvious problem, like how would they explain that? her ancestor or something, and highly doubt Kuro didn't intentionally made her too look like Lucia, adding their wasn't any dragons in PGR and their are some NPC that is referencing PGR char. ( very massive spoiler lastly in PGR). And given what story we got now in 1.1 and Changli companion story, its already highly likely its a sequel, the best guess is WW takes place after the events in PGR they successfully reclaimed the earth blah blah and hundred or thousand yrs passed since then. Wouldn't be even surprised that Rover is the commandant because in PGR us the commandant is regarded as a Hero,Martyr and with Lucia Pyroath Story from the discussion ive read the commandant died, sacrificing himself being martyr like etc and hence why the promotional trailer for Lucia new frame is that emotional and the fact in the new leaked Frame Nanami will find a timeline where we would likely be still alive to bring us back. And given the things in WW story has shown that Rover looks like God, well.....theirs a big chance plus its interesting to make a self-insert char. in your other game to be, played as a playable char. in sequel.
first, Abby is basically a more annoying kirby with the power to eat resonances of Threnodian but is more than obvious that is a power with strict conditions to use, second rover adquire Abby very recently, i think in their last time awake during the plague in Jinzhou and finally maybe Abby has its origins in Rina the mysterious nation of intelligent echoes
Mabey abby is a terminal and he can axorb energy example jué can use time powers and abby exorbed a echo that has good senses so we saw jian fight at the battle scean and terminal can also sense echo so he senced alot of them so h emistakenly used his sense powers and rover and him is connected so both saw jian he surely exorbed a good sensor type echo surely
