Thanks, Gretchen! And good to hear from you. Yes, peaceful on the water. Not always on the island. What I learned (re-learned) this week is that this world has some really mean people in it, and also some really nice people. And, sadly, I find a bit of both in myself. It's funny, I happened to listen to the recent State of the Union Address as I drove to the coast, and all I could think was: "Why can't folks get along?" Then at my campsite I was reading a book on the Boer War, and thinking again: "Why can't folks get along?" ....And then I witnessed the doings of some of the "natives" on Hird and thought: "Well, it seems folks can't just get along." In God's time, though, I know we will one day. Isaiah 2:4 He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
