Thankyou for uploading this. Marie Fredriksson was at this time arguably the greatest female singer/performer on the planet. She was an incredible talent. Being a life long fan and hearing singers today singing and covering roxette songs, without disrespect they don't hold a candle to her. She could sing anything, with such a effortless swagger. If she had been amercian she would have been elite. Roxette was marie, I have upmost respect for per gessle, but I m sure he agrees... she was the main event. Singers like these are extremely rare. You are so missed marie.
In 1991, their American record company offered Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle to stay in the United States to produce their music but they refused their proposal so their record company didn't promote them anymore. So Marie had the opportunity to became one of the most famous and successful female singer in the world but she refused to leave her country and her musicians.
I love it! This show sounds even much better than the "official ones". Marie made an incredible performance here, such a wonderful voice. Thank you so much for sharing it!!
Marie was on fire!!! She even trips and falls at 1:13:02 and doesn't stop singing for a second- What a star! She probably hurt her leg a bit on the stairs. In some other performances from this era she sounds as if she has a cold which is very unfortunate. But here she outshines everything apart from her own stage presence. The whole band is great but Marie just runs the show for me. Wow!
Thank you so much! I love Roxette and this show was amazing!! Everybody is awesome, specially Marie, but Per and the band are excellent. Things Will Never Be The Same is pure feeling, I didn´t remember how "hard-rocky" Sleeping Single sounded, Fading Like A Flower is magical, I LOVE that song and the "electric version" of Spending My Time caught me totally by surprise. I would have loved to go to one of their concerts, specially during this tour... :(
WOW...Marie, Per and the Roxette band are so HOT they're on 🔥 🔥 🔥! Thoroughly enjoyed this concert because it felt like I was actually there. 😅 Thanks for putting a smile on my face. 😊 Miss these days so much. Glad to have a reminder of them. Hold onto these precious memories because they are priceless. Thanks Alan, for sharing this video. 👍
That was so awesome, thank you so much for posting this! Roxette will always and forever be my favorite band. It was almost criminal how Roxette got ignored here in the States after Joyride. They continued to put out so many great albums right up until Marie couldn't perform anymore. Marie's voice and Per's incredible song writing were a match made in heaven. I so wish we could have seen what Roxette could have done if Marie hadn't been robbed of so much of her life by that brain tumor. Rest in peace Marie..
Maybe you already know, but if not I recommend you, Marie's only album in album in English called The Change from her solo career. She did it with her husband Mike during those difficult times, struggling against her brain cancer. And of course, please listen to my favorite Marie's album in Swedish Den Ständiga Resan. Marie and Per had wonderful career in their solo work in Swedish, English and even Spanish. All it is here in RU-vid.

Lloré con It Muat
This brings back memories as I was at one of the Australian concerts a few days before the Sydney dates. Although I have video recordings of the Sydney concert they didn't capture the entire show. The ways that Marie and Per interacted with the fans, and introducing the other members of the touring band. In my city when Vicki Benckert got introduced there was cheering and wolf whistling. She laughed. The audience chanted, "Rox ette (Clap clap clap) Rox ette (Clap clap clap) Rox ette." (Clap clap clap) A few Swedish people were in the audience too. I saw them in the foyer at the venue. They had dressed up in Sweden's national colors, had painted faces and wore Swedish flags like capes.
Thank you so much 🥰❤👏... She was the best live performaner / singer for so many years. Same energy like at the beginning of Joyride Tour in autumn 1991 in Europe.
