Having so much fun with this Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery trifold pouch project for volume 5.
Have loved creating this French secret garden inspired trifold pouch and on this video I will be sharing how I’m creating a little pocket for my embroidery scissors using a piece of vintage appliqué and a vintage French button featuring a rise growing up a trellis.
The pocket will also hold a needle keep and I share how I’m creating this from a piece of old quilt and one of my favourite edging stitches.
I also share my plans for a secret key from the dear grandpa’s antique key collection.
Then on to thread painting of the roses on the interior picket using Appleton wool. I share how I work on the curved edges of petals.
The pouch also features the I rage style fabric covered buttons I created in my video here:
• DIY easy no kit fabric...
And here’s a link to the playlist that includes earlier work on this pouch: • Roxy’s Journal of Stit...
Heye’s a link to the final video where I finish the pouch: • Roxy’s Journal of Stit...
I hope you find this slow stitching tutorial relaxing to watch and providing lots of inspiration for creating your own bespoke slow stitch pouch.
With thanks to Rachel @roxycreations679 and Sarah @roxycreationsbysarah for this fabulous project! And Juju too 🤗
