This song takes me back to preschool riding in my dad's taxicab in downtown dc with no worry's in the world other than wondering what Saturday cartoons were going to show.
+Roger James My friend, that's a timeless time gone by!! In 1979, I saw Roy Ayers open for a young Angela Bofill at Buffalo State College.. Roy played [Let me say performed] this cut!! Priceless!! Peace Fyi, Ms Bofill got down too!!!
@rogerjames...i was 5 yrs old in Ft. DuPont park in SE DC, every weekend in the summers. Roy Ayers is 1 of the first concerts I was privileged...my mom insisted we know fantastic music. Thank you Ma!!!
Touché 57 brother, good times! Hey, I'm giving thanks everyday for the privilege we had, once in a lifetime special, different calibre, Thank you for being a part of that it was not a fluke of time! Salute 🙏🏽😎🔥
I went to see Roy Ayers last night at the Howard Theater in Washington DC and he still has it @ the age 73 years old! HE IS A MAESTRO still getting it in! I LOVE ROY AYERS HE IS MY FAVORITE ARTIST!
You can never bring back the good old days when the world was full of dreams, fun, and adventure. But, when listening to Roy and some of the other musicians of that era, you can always take your mind back there. We were truly blessed.
Who else can play the xylophone like this man something we all have been exposed to as children and this brother took that instrument to another galaxy
I Still have this in vinyl record. My mind goes back a long way. I still love Roy Ayers music to this day. Listening to his music since I was fourteen. Simply amazing! Much Love!💖💖💖💖

Yes, this was the stuff in Chicago back in the day, riding down Lake Shore Drive on a warm summer night with your lady with the sunroof open and just cruising!
the black light, the beads over the door, the poster of the naked black woman on the wall, the dashiki ,and a bottle of night train wine, you ladies know what i'm talking about.
Roy made a name for himself with many during the disco era cutting edgy funky danceable tunes like Running Away, Moving_Grooving, Coffy and Let's Do It. But many ( like myself ) became acquainted with his smooth side like Want You.
This jam takes me back when I was in college and dating this girl....I borrowed the 8 track from her...we eventually broke up...I kept the 8 track...liked her but much love for Roy...

Kudos to whomever posted this song!!! This is truly one Roy Ayers best song. I just wish he would put this out on a greatest hit cd. Very hard to find.
Music like this keeps me dating age appropriately. Somehow, I attract younger women who can hand dance and it's nice to feel like you still got it. But once the bar/club is gone and it's time for mellow music, it's like when the 'Last call' lights come on.
+Veronica Moore Please say the following; they were born in the year of 1985 and are totality clueless!!! I saw Mr Ayers perform "this cut" in concert in 1980-at-Buffalo State Univ. He opened for Ms Angela Bofill......... That Bro. got on those VIBES and did he thing!! Fyi, this is my youtube tune before I shut it down for the night!! Peace
They don't know real music! That's why I love classic R&B music from the 60s, through the 90s. All this trash I hear now they call music, puuuuh-leeeez!!!!
Yes she did...I heard that too..Roy Ayers paved the way for the upcoming stars..and its ok...that's part of his makeup..In fact that made me like her song even more..and her lyrics are nothing but the truth!! But this song, you can hear those violins...if you know music..they sound heavenly with his xylophone.....You are a maestro Roy!!!!!
