After a humiliating defeat Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson does a post-match interview for BBC1 Match Of The Day. What happened next was never aired!
So would I. Trouble is, the Beeb wouldn’t have it. What with Roy f’ing and blindin like that. Somebody would loose their job. So we have to shown the sanitised version
Trust me. Roy is a nice guy, but never serve him his apple crumble with the custard already on it. It causes a reaction like this. Let him decide. Serve it in a rammakin.
For Hodgson to lose his temper takes something. He must have been livid. Reporters are paid to ask the tricky questions though....... I couldn't do it......
Underated manager. Everyone highlights his England and Liverpool days but he got Fulham to a European final and took the job at palace when the had no points from 7 games, hadn't scored a goal and then kept them up. He more than holds his own.
@@stephenbrown1867 I'm betting Palace to get relegated next year. Only two people were keeping them in the Premier League(Zaha and Roy) and seeing as one of them has left um...... RIP Palace in the Premier League
@@jameskiely8703 funnily enough I work in the gambling industry and me and colleagues were saying the same thing. I think they are about 5/2 to get relegated
To be honest all the commentator said was "which one" just to try and clarify for the viewers what decision Roy was on about. Roy was clearly unhappy with the referee, but decided to take his anger out on the journalist. Bit of a dick move if you ask me.
Two things, a) he was manager of West Brom at the time (hence the score showing West Brom vs Bolton) and b) The didn't lose, again confirmed by the score
It was also a BBC interview and there was a fire extinguisher present in the room if we are stating obvious pointless facts. Roy hodgson also looks like a very upset owl but thats just a comparison and irrelevant
There's a lot of sides to Roy we don't get to see, when he was in the England job he was painted as this bland 'yes man', Paul Ince said that from his time at Inter, Roy's hairdryer treatment is worse than fergies, Andros Townsend cites him as a big influence on both his career and of shaping him a person, he's a god in Sweden...quite an interesting character.
Imagine watching Match of the Day and seeing the second take of the interview after the highlights and being confused as to why the winning manager is absolutely livid.
Thats how every manager should treat them. honest and with plenty of freedom of speech. I might actually watch football then. Excellent Roy Excellent interview..
Incredible 😂 😂 😂 Felt a bit sorry for Ivan Gaskell, though. Starts with a nice bit of chat, pre interview... Asks a tricky one... BOOOOOOOM. Bitch slapped by The Hodge meister... 😂 😂 😂
This is what happens when referees aren't held accountable for their decisions and the managers being harshly punished by the FA for justified criticism of the referees.
You might want to correct what you wrote in the description below the video. This interview was not from Hodgson's time as Crystal Palace manager. It was when he was managing West Bromwich Albion. And it wasn't a "humiliating defeat", he had just won 2-1 against Bolton. You can tell from the caption in the video iteslef (0:48), as well as the fact that Hodgson expresses satisfaction with the overall result (if not a certain penalty decision!).
Oh that is a stunningly brilliant interview. Talk about ripping pc journalism apart. More like that please instead of the moronic, platitudes we currently have.
@@liambakewell687 *When you are as dumb as you. Anyone with a fully functioning brain doesn't think that way regardless of their age. You're just an idiot. Keep blaming your simplistic thinking on youth though if that makes you feel better.
@@portcullis5622 Well, I heard he put the interviewer in Intensive Care. Did a Bruce Lee on the rest of The BBC Team and I'm not even getting started on what he did to that young girl who was The Boom Operator and where he stuck her microphone......Dirty Bxxxxxxx
Haha.. this is particularly dodgy I must say. But yeah the place where they do these interviews are quite small. I have been luck enough to see both the Emirates and Anfield ones and they are quite small
Wow the first time i've ever respected Hodgson. Shame they do not just show a person as they are on MSM. Maybe England folk would have been happier with the guy at the reigns if we new he were not a boring plank
WWWWWWOYYY ISN'T ALL WWWHISSSKERS AND WOLLIPOPS...WWWWOOOY..seriously this is a manager who has won 13 trophies, including several Swedish and Danish league titles and cups and 2 runners up medals in the UEFA cup, losing with Inter Milan on penos in 1997 and taking fucking Fulham to the brink of European GLOWY a mere season after miraculously turning round like a 10 point deficit in his first 7-8 games as Fulham managew to save them fwom the dwop. He is also vewy sharp and honest, speaks 5-6 languages. You dawen't fuck wwwiv WOY BWUV. I love his angry voice as much as his soothe calming voice tbh, not gonna lie. His anger is genuine, honest and makes sense
How hard after all that happened before would it have been for the interviewer to say something along the lines of ' Roy, there appeared to be a contentious decision today. Do you believe your team deserved a penalty there?' But no. Of course the arrogant BBC employee wanted to continue playing the fool. I hate people like that.
