this reminds me of a fling i had with a girl when i had a girlfriend, i know it seems messed up to cheat but with the other girl we got high Nd drunk and always did it in my car late at night.... after 1am no one would know of our late night meet ups but they were real and nice and in the moment this song reminds me of that and seems like roy is talking about that, he knows about the other girl just as much as she does... forbidden unknown love. i’m also very high hah ugh i miss her she got a boyfriend and we stopped talking since then, but it was a nice summer fling in 2020 :/
