Morocco's national airline and Africa's 4th largest airline Royal Air Maroc connects Casablanca to the world. Its fleet of 52 aircraft fly all over Morocco, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
Royal Air Maroc send's their beautiful 787-9 Dreamliners to New York and I flew that route late this spring to explore Casablanca and visit Africa for the first time. Their business class product is unique compared to the European flights I'm used to experiencing!

Sam Chui was allowed and welcomed to film on board RAM. It is not against the airline's policy. What's against the law in Morocco is to film and broadcast someone without their consent. You could have just said you will film but will blur people's faces. Also, it is well know that Moroccan female flight attendants are super rude.

Sorry you were given a hard time about recording the flight. Food, seat appeared good. My career was in travel and I always found foreign flag carriers offer the best service Thank you Quintin for excellent review.😀💚

I flew for 16 years (the last 1/3 as a Purser) and gladly welcomed filming on my flights. If any member of my crew didn't want to be featured, all they had to do was just work another part of the cabin. In my experience, the vocal opposition were usually subpar anyway. If we were having a rough day, everyone else usually was too. I get that not everyone who films "reads the room" but still, delivering world-class service was our job and it was so important to smile through it, no matter what. I cringe when crews get snappy like that FA did. A simple, "Hey just don't film my face but here's the appetizer," goes so far. HOW you say something carries way more weight than typically WHAT you say. Global carriers are such a mixed bag these days. Keep putting out your great content!

Excellent review as always. I can't believe that JFK T1 is still a filthy disgusting mess outside. It was bad in the 1990's and I won't need to explain what was on the sidewalk before entering. It stunk to say the least. Great airline RAM.

Man that lady really got on my nerves! You have a semi-perfect flight but then you get such behaviour which ruins it all... Filming is always an issue in our country...never really understood why. If you've got nothing to hide, what's the issue? We want tourists to visit us, but then refuse them the number one thing tourists do.

Because our country is not a depravated western country and our dignity as moroccan is better than tourism. When recording he could easily realese bad content about Morocco and he disrecpted the Moroccan laws

I think some staff get nervous with cameras because i wonder if the so called no recording is a company policy or actually just the staff member working policy? Have you ever had a video you couldn't post because an attendant was just on you 24/7 and just made it impossible?

In many countries it’s banned to film people (including crew) without their consent. It’s someones privacy. Despite her asking not to film, her face is still on the video. Very disrespectful.

@@kinkyscent She clearly could have chosen a nicer way to communicate to the boarding passenger she has seen for a total of 5 seconds. The unnecessary tone and words chosen would have resulted in “I certainly hope you don’t think the camera was pointed at you”, with a smile. And then ask kindly for a drink. Snotty cabin attendant.

Wonderful vlog! Love how you just ignore the requests not to film. Good for you! Good for us! Boarding economy prior before Biz class. Unbelievable mistake. Have flown in the BE Super Diamond many times on AA wide bodies. They are narrow. Can’t go wrong with a Four Seasons. That must be your brother. You look alike. 😂. Safe travels. 👍

Quentin, it's great getting to see some new videos from you. 👍. I really enjoyed seeing the ITA Airways plane as you were leaving your gate at JFK. Their livery is fantastic. That metallic blue is one of the best looking planes I have seen. Royal Jordanian's "green" paint job is another winner. 👌. Your meal service seemed pretty good. I have found that receiving two hot meals on long haul flights isn't that common anymore. It's usually a "crappy" snack for the second serving, even in Business Class. Have you noticed this? Your choice of music for your landing shots was excellent. Hope that you will do a "semi-review" of your stay at the Four Seasons Hotel. I have always been happy with their service and accommodations. Take care buddy and have a fun week.

Royal Air Maroc should make a clear statement about if recording with a camera is authorized or not, I don't understand how this can be unauthorized without it being mentioned inside the plane, feels like the flight attendant is dictating her own feeling, it was rude and unprofessional for someone whose job is escorting and helping business passengers, surely made it feel like a poor experience to me.

Very rude flight attendant at about 4:25 hopes your not filming as they said it’s forbidden and she comes back at 11:07 saying she told you not to film anything during the service is just a mean thing, I just think it’s such BS when they do that. Looks like the product outside of that was pretty good though!

What a cool video!! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!! I esp loved the surprise addition of seeing the beautiful hotel on the beach and dinner experience as well as the city and mosque you showed! To be honest it’s such a grey area. Often airlines have rules on prohibiting “commercial filming”, but this doesn’t really qualify as that

I almost did this flight back in June. I was planning on visiting Israel, and since I also want to visit the 7 continents I figured a connecting flight in CMN would be the easiest way to get to Africa. Maybe next year.

The cabin crew of this company is known to be always boastful rude and cruel I remember once I stand up by mistake when aircraft just landed and they bring to me police in Orly Airport saying I'm a terrorist..you will always have the feeling they want to slap you..please report them for not being nice to a business class passenger..I worked for CS of easyJet and as I told you u have to report that witch I also travelled once in first class I paid about 1000$ and the behavior was the same awful

I watched this video now today (080824) - some Q's: 1) What in the hell is an Islamic airliner? You probably meant a Muslim airliner. Not everything or everyone is (orthodox) religious. 2) What's the point to enter the plane first or early? I don't understand that, as long as you have an assigned seat? Take it easy, do not stress. Be calm! 3) What's the point eating at the lounge when you can already expect a proper meal on board, if you didn't arrive at the airport about 5-6 hours earlier? Just stupid and greedy!

I dont understand this flight attendant. If she is not confident enough to be recorded on a Business class flight shes totally wrong in this position. Flying Business class is more then just having a comfortable seat. Its more about an grear experience to which good service from the flight attendants should contribute. Look at qatar airways or emirates.they have absolutely no problem with it.

Merci Quentin pour nous faire partager tes nombreux voyages en avion. C'est bien filmé et monté de manière à nous donner la sensation d'être à bord également. Bravo encore pour ce reportage à nouveau. Mon seul regret est que les sous titres en Français ne soient pas disponibles dans tes vidéos, ce serait bien mieux car je fais partie des gens qui ne maitrisent pas cette langue. Continue comme cela tes reportages sont de vraies découvertes et nous invitent à voyager aussi, et tes notations sont objectives. Merci encore... 😄😀🙂

I will never ever travel again with them. They canceled my flight without letting me know. I realized that my flight was canceled after calling them to change my flight to another date. What a mess ? I Don't recommend it at all. That s the worse costumer service I ve ever experienced in my life!!!!!

If you want a discreet camera I’d definitely recommend the DJI Osmo Pocket, that thing is tiny and records amazing quality. Something else that is small could be a GoPro, but the quality isn’t as good

As a former gate agent myself, I totally get her frustration over her mistake. Unfortunately, the idea of boarding you guys via a packed jetbridge made the situation a lot more awkward. But kudos to her for trying and being proactive.
