I'm not surprised, because Muse suck and Royal Blood are awesome. They've been influenced mostly by QOTSA (Muse were influenced by them too) and QOTSA are awesome too.

That Guy I was surprised because they said in an interview of the first album they were inspired by the early Muse.

We were surprised too! Maybe we should ask them for another 5 Essential Tracks next time 😁 I'm sure Muse was high on their list, but it is only five tracks...

Deadandr3 Arguably the best. First four Albums are great. Nowadays their shows just get bigger and bigger, the lyrics more corny and political... I just don't buy it anymore.

That might almost be too on the nose. Just listened to Royal Blood’s new song Trouble’s Coming, and I feel their sound intersecting with DFA’s modern sound more and more. Love both bands, I just hope Royal Blood finds a strong way to make new stuff but still stand out

But was that bass used as a main instrument NO cause the main like in any other was electric guitar you can like them but their anything but unoriginal cause they have their own songs.

I had the same feeling as you at the beginning: I found the sound not very original, already heard. Then I listened to it for a while and changed my mind completely: the riffs are incredible, the melodies too, they have their own style. Today it's one of my favourite bands. Maybe you should give their music another chance?
