@@SP-ie6nq to a degree you are right, but not fully. A good mix should have clarity, their studio recordings for example. The kick drum is almost non existent here and the vocals do not come across as clearly as they should. The engineers did not clean up frequencies in the bass that clash with everything else, giving us a very muddy, unprofessional sounding mix. (btw this is coming from a bass player so I'm all about that low end, but clarity comes first)
It’s pretty hard to do this as a duo. Unless it’s an acoustic version. Good on ya for trying, but for this type of version you really needed a full band; or at least some looping of fx I believe?!
Okay, Lana Del Rey and Royal Blood are genuinely my two favorite artists of the modern time, but this is hard to listen to. Having fallen in love with the original, this isn't really my cup of tea. Mike botched the lyrics. They are two phenomenal artists who write phenomenal songs, but when combined, to me, just don't sound good.
