Fabulous sight all the horse guards are masterful riders, those poor guards on Horse guard Parade who have to endure the constant disrespectful tourist handle their agitated horse with one hand and a sword in the other, no matter how much the horse is rearing up or bucking they never grab the reins with 2 hands brilliant horsemanship

I believe he is an officer in the Life Guards with two red stripes down his trousers. The Blues and Royals have one wide stripe down their trousers. Great video.

It looks like he's a Major. He's from the Blues and Royals coming down from Hyde Park Stables. Possibly with a stop at Buckingham Palace as the Ceremonial season is starting. The horses ridden by the officers are called 'chargers' and are always a totally solid black.
