Too cool. Watching this brought back a few memories. My father was in the RCD band from I believe 1955 to 1968 when unification killed it. That was back in Gagetown NB. Good to see the old uniforms again. Brass helmets with the horse hair. I assume the snap in spurs are still on the boots.
Hell yeah. Won 3 VCs in one day at a place called (forgive spelling) Lilly Fountain. Oct 11th I think. Back in Gagetown they'd had a parade every year. Rolling Centurian tanks down the streets. A beautiful thing!
Dragoons were mounted troops back in the day. Don't know if they still have them but on the parade boots, there were snap in spurs. I recall my father hated cleaning all the kit and helmet. Went through a lot of brasso.
